Zenesis ZAP screw sizes

Hi,

I am not happy with the +ve signal path on the ZAP so I am going to replace the spring + rod with brass threaded rod all the way through - ideally, I would like to use the same .comge as the short threaded rod above the spring that is currently used but have not been able to find out what that is - anyone know?

I would say m4 but I no longer have a zap to be sure.

I really don't know the size of it but as
Bugz said it might be m4 ,it's just a normal
Screw with the head chopped of that's the way
Zen has all his units like .

I really fix stuff just by nature not a technical

i'm not sure but I don't think the yanks use metric.

 

Just take the ZAP to bunnings and check

Or take the piece you have to Peps they have a nut size check guide.
that will tell you the bolt size.

Sorry I missed these - thanks all - did the Bunnings thing in the end and got it sorted - for the record, it’s 5/32. Don’t ask what the pitch is, just those Zenith blister pack jobbies - that only go to 38mm grrrr. The Zenesis switch screw size is 3/16 - also worth replacing with brass.

I’m going to write it up properly, when I find a longer screw... but for now I just cut one up, put a slot in it to adjust and threaded it half way, and came down with another from the top. I was going to cut the head off, put the steel sleeve back on and make it look stock, but liked it just with the brass so I’m leaving it be for now. Makes wiring piss easy be.comse you just wind the wire round the post - the contact is good enough that the nut is really just ceremonial - and it’s gonna be better with a full length screw...

Now I get to have the wick where I want it, no more leaks down the post - and the electrons are conducting themselves properly - moi moi conducting bay-bee!
