Waiting on a logoless Kato mod from Fasttech that I ordered late last week. I would have ordered locally when stock arrived, and then perhaps ordered the genuine, but I can't stand the engraving on the standard model. Also, I got a flat Chi You top cap to go with it so I can put a Kick in it...

Watching reviews it seemed pretty obvious that the switch wasn't all that nice. I know it's the same threading as the Chi You, but the Chi You switch is crap also. So after a lot of searching, I came up with a solution...




Behold, the La'nun recessed switch for Chi Yous (21x1 threading). Also available for 20x1 (Caravela etc). Expensive, but I'm sure it'll be worth it!

The FT logoless Kato is the mod that it'll be going on.

I'll probably be pressing a bit of copper tubing into under the 510 so the kick sits correctly...The thread on FT shows that a bit of cardboard needs to be jammed in there to hold the kick in place. Not my style

Naa mod it, take the two hex screws out of the bottom, pull the positive rod out, cut it and solder the kick to the rod in the middle. Then you can still use the 18650 battery.

 

Ah I see what you're thinking. I'm talking about actually pressing a bit of tubing in under the 510 to reduce the ID, allowing the kick to hold correctly. That way if I want to go back to mech mode i can
