That's a different company. Looks like that one's just an import/export that buys at retail and resells to countries that don't have access to the product. If you look that one's based in Switzerland, the other was definitely Chinese.

New info posted on the smok vmax....

Newest batch in Europe now has improved fire button, and after changing batterys it is set at 3.0 volts. Also seemes to be diferent calibrated, still very strong, but not so much as before. Though I have not seen new metered results, just comments I picked up from a German forum.

Considering getting one of these. So are there 2 versions now? When is the co-op happening? I would love to get in on that. I found them for $89 shipped here in the US though. How much will they be in the co-op. If someone has a link to the co-op that would be great. I really want one of these. I was trying to decide between this and the new 4 amp lavatube. I heard some say this Vmax is better than the new Lavatube so I would like to know what makes the Vmax better before I decide to buy. Sounds like they have some of the same features and the LT is a bit cheaper. I know some say LT suck and they break easy but I had 2 standard black ones that worked great for me and now have 2 Stainless Steel. Mini and Standard size. (Standard hasn't arrived yet) If they had a higher amp limit I would just stick with what I have but I want something that can run dual coils. Which would you all recommend?

Next; yes, rumor has it that there are now what you might call two versions. "Version 1.0", that All About Vapor has about 20 blacks ones of, and is getting in about 25 silver of very shortly, has the now-well-known "miscalibration problem" loved by many. The V2Max v1.1 allegedly "fixes" that, as one might "fix" Superman by making him a nice Kryptonite sandwich, and also resets to 3.0 volts when changing batteries. There are continuing scattered reports of switch problems, not yet confirmed or quantified to my satisfaction, that might or might not be "fixed" in the v1.1; again, dependant on their actual existence.

If I were about to be stranded on a desert island with a 110v outlet, and had to choose between the V2max and the ProVari V2, I'd take the ProVari in a New York nanosecond. The VMax is obviously very new, and has a long way to go before proving itself in the areas that the ProVari is deservedly legendary for. It might take a while before it is refined, reprogrammed, or otherwise tweaked to make it a ProVari-class APV in reliabilty (if v1.0 really does have issues there - mine is fine) and "driveability" ("Jane, how do you stop this crazy thinggggg!"). But since I'm not marooned at the moment, my next purchase will be another VMax or two, preferably "miscalibrated" just like the first one. I do not believe in de-clawing (wild)cats.

Hey, K...I was about to respond to your PM but I guess right here will do the trick. The Lavatube and the VMAX aren't really even comparable. The LT has a single battery setup with a booster circuit, the VMAX is a stacked 18350 setup with loads of power to spare. You said in your post you wanted to run Dual Coils, if thats the case, the answer is easier than I thought. The VMAX was basically designed and built around the 3.5mL DCT that has a 1.5 ohm DC in it. Look at my avatar and you'll see what I mean. When you put a 3.5mL DCT on it , it's basically seamless where the 2 meet together. Seems as if Smoktech measured the top diameter taper of the VMAX to fit the diameter of the 3.5 tank flawlessly. This thing will vape a Dual Coil 1.5 at every voltage setting without effort. If your going to spend the money .....just get a VMAX and be done with it....you'll thank me later, just ask John..........Hell ask anyone in this thread that has a VMAX. I have the new LT that I've been testing and I would still take the VMAX over it hands down.

 

I just sent him a PM asking what the delivery date is looking like. I would be very interested in the co-op but I am extremely impatient so if it will be a month or 2 before it's set up i WOULD PROBABLY RATHER BAY AN EXTRA $20 OR SO AND GET IT NOW. True that! Been on the v-max for almost 3 weeks now and it has been working great. Mine was one of the 1st batches that i got from Malaysia. It was out before any other vendors had it and yes, it is a beast! No issues with buttons nor battery caps. I was thinking about getting a Provari, but hell, here in Singapore, a Provari starter kit is gonna set me back USD292!!!

The V-max works as advertised. Period.

 

So glad I have a beast, a "normal" one will be here in a week or so.

 

It is $89 shipped on sale isn't it? Either way I think I may wait and just get it through the co-op since I might need 2.
