Was just teasing...

If i had a milling machine i would be glad to make more but with only a press drill it is a bit long to do.
But i dont think it would be very expensive to ask guys in machin shop to do it. It is worth to ask anyway ;-)

Wow you did that on a drill press with a mill bit? Now I'm super impressed. Unfortunately the only machine shop owners I know are the ones I used to work for and they build Multi Million dollar race cars. I'd probably end up with it in titanium and a bill for $100k ;)

I'll draw it up in CAD tomorrow and see if any of our lower production shops we use will bite at it. Might have to do a group buy on them though..not many of our shops will touch anything until 100pc's.

That is just awesome.... If you need some units for a group buy, let me know. I'd love to offer something like that in my shop.

Hiiiiiii!
No, in fact "googlefish" or google translate!

Happy that translator exist because i did not even know what was the meaning of "babelfish" 2 minutes ago.

That is a beautyfull expression and there is no such expression in french.
Happy with that:happy2:

Woawwww!
Even more intructive than google translate. Unfortunatly it is not really happy ending...

"Meanwhile, the poor Babel fish, by effectively removing all barriers to communication between different races and cultures, has caused more and bloodier wars than anything else in the history of creation."

Hope a better ending with google...

I'm a big fan of the Hitchhiker's Guide series and I really want to add something in this direction. Don't Panic though. That would be a major derail. I just can't do it. :)

I do like what the OP has done with his Vamo!!!

Tourlounette.. could you post the pictures of the wood and metal shrunk vamo..:look:

So a Belgium has started to make the parts for the shrunk Vamo mod holder..
He is charging 47$us shipped to US or Canada.
Here is a link to his website with google translate..
Google Translate

He also has a pre-order notification list.. next batch about the 16 May.
Fill in your name in the first column, your email address in the second column, and underneath your request for pre-order for the vamo s parts, from the moment they become available you will get an email with the payment link.
Pre-Order

I am on the pre-order list for the second batch.. so I will update when I get this.
From the instructions he gives for mounting the Vamo, you have to cut the control head tube and solder the positive wire..
It is important to know this..

Nice - I love the finish - There's a guy in the UK that's done a similar thing with brazed copper - However I have to say his is definitely not a patch on yours - I also like the showing threads (yes steampunk fan :))

I did the Vamo shrink with the parts I got from Simply Creations..
I was a little creative by using different screw covers and a flat nut on top instead of the acorn nuts that came with it..
I still have to polish the top and bottom parts ..But I am enjoying this mod too much right now to take it apart..
