It sure is an interesting time to be at the Squonker party. The mech mod is perhaps the most uninspiring mod ever, and the potential pen pod looks to double down on many of its mistakes, causing more people to consider other types of alternative e-cig box. The box mod is still the mainstream mods to beat, but even though these devices see them re-living past glories mostly through upgraded functionality and simply “bigger size”, they are not really breaking any new ground. Therefore, we still can’t blame you for wanting to look at other options.

However, while the glut of different mods with huge capacity has their drawbacks (fragmentation mostly) the upside is you’re not limited to one questionable piece of hardware if you want a e-cig box carrying a large juice reservoir. Geek Vape Athena Squonk Kit
If you want a squonk device that feels more premium than it might seem on paper, consider the Geek Vape Athena Squonk Kit. This device combines high-end design ideas like a huge fire button (also a locking button) surrounded by a golden ring, a reflective finish and rhombic patterns presenting a touch of modern technology, the huge 6.5ml juice bottle that is big enough for daily use and carrying around, and an excellent 24mm RDA tank. But at $64 it won’t break the bank when it launches in the coming months, which makes sense given its specs.

These specs aren’t bad by any means. The Geek Vape Athena Squonk Kit measures 73mm by 46mm by 25mm, which is compact and portable. The paired GeekVape Squonk RDA comes with a postless build deck for accommodating a huge variety of coiling configurations, all to satisfy different vaping preferences. The 510 pin is also included in the package for safety concern, it is a perfect match for a variety of BF atomizers.

GeekVape Squonk RDA has an 810 typed RDA drip tip and this drip tip is made of PEI material Also in the box, there are a 510 adapter and 510 drip tips for your customized flavor and vapor volume. The central post is connected with the copper-plated GTA deck with four terminals. The building deck is spacious for convenient coil building and more coiling configurations. Anyway, the Athena might be a Geek Vape device worth saying hello to.

GeekVape GBOX Squonker
One of our most anticipated squonk mods, the GBOX is one of GeekVape’s most functional vaping devices to date. While it doesn’t have a stunning look, rest assured it’s having a good time trapped in a shiny irregular shape body and enlarged OLED display. Powered by dual 18650 battery, inside the body (measuring 88mm by 55.4mm) is a powerful and accurate AS chipset, supporting a maximum 200W output power and various modes including TC Mode, VW Mode, BYPASS Mode and TCR Modes.

For years the excuse for stupidly small e-liquid capacity was that e-cig manufacturers needed the extra space to fit in the more powerful components. But the Geek Vape GBOX proves you don’t need to carry a glass of e-liquid bottle in your bag to refill the tank fussily. The GBOX is supposedly one of the first squonk modes to feature a huge 8ml juice capacity. This mod is paired with the Radar RDA, featuring an 810-typed drip tip and two air flow vents on the sides.

The one catch is the relatively high $84 price (for the whole kit), but honestly that might be worth it if you’re really sick of keep refilling up the tank. The Geek Vape GBOX rolls out this winter.

Wotofo Nudge Squonk Box Mod
Unshackled from other e-cig manufacturers, Wotofo once again free to make e-cig mods with high-grade quality mechanical fans want. Wotofo’s flagship Serpent box mod has shown other e-cig manufacturers how it’s done in 2017. So of course, we’re expecting a follow up later this year.

Details are scarce. Probably coming later this month, the Nudge Squonk Box might be powered by a single 18650 battery and carries a 7-mL food grade silicone squonk bottle. Other specs include the carbon fiber construction, the 24k gold button, the safety lock, and short circuit protector for a safe mech mode vaping experience. The Wotofo Nudge Squonk Box Mod is available for pre-order in AVE40 this December.
