Well, I may be getting few less. Like 1 to test out. Why did they limit it to 10 watts?

Well I may be out then, I do not want to forgo my 18650s, I also do not want to get another tube.

  3. He said it was due to the cost of their insurance... I think it's because they don't want other people using it and making mods to sell that would compete with the Darwin.

  4. Then why sell the kick in the first place?

Well adding another top section wouldn't make it much longer (about the thickness of 5 dimes he said) you would just have little to none of the telescope showing would be my guess. I'll let you know for sure when I get one for testing ;)

Marketing, plain a simple, instead of being an awesome product this will be marketed as a stepping stone product to the Darwin. That way you can "sample" the Darwin capability and want the whole enchilada and then buy the Darwin.

I think this is crappy just like I think the GG Stealth is priced to high for what it is. Get your toes wet then spend more and more to make it a full GGTS. Then you will want the UFS or iAtty, now the iAtty 2 is coming and it is gonna cost like 250 bucks.

I hate this kind of marketing because it gets out of hand, look at the GG stuff, I love my GGTS but I am not paying 150 for a Tank feeder nore will I ever pay 250 for a rebuildable atty/tank but the fervor id being hyped up and it will drain the wallets of many. Just like this product will try to get people into a Darwin.

You do not see Brad selling his Grips like this, he sells a Kick ass looking Wood mod and it needs nothing, nor does he sell a stepping stone product. He sell The Grip and that's it, kick ass wood mod. Speaking of which I may be needing to check out his wood selections, My Phidias need a play partner.

Hey, what did I say, Papa?!?!? :D Everyone knows B-Rad's shit rocks!

Seriously, Imeo's tripping on a $250 Iatty, no fucking way am I spending that for a damned tank. I have never bought an overpriced one like more than a few have, I find deals or I go back to my trusty AVSs........I don't think anyone has ever seen me recommend GGs to newbs but I went cadillac and I can't go back!:)

Still, this is a fancy drop-in resistor, right?

yeah, duh, its boosting the 18650, I get it....:) Will it put a lot of stress on the batts?

I would only use an IMR with this. Either the AW or MNKE. I really do not think that this will be enough for me. Every single setup that I enjoy is in the 11 to 13 watt range. For instance, you know how an LR 1.5 ohm atty is best on a fresh batt? Well that is about 4.2v and calcs out to 11.76 watts. Our beloved V9 turbo carts at 6v, that is 12 watts. Higher with fresh charged LiFeP04's that is more like 13+. If you are a person that prefers 2 ohm attys with a 3.7V this will be perfect for you. You can set it in the 8 to 9 watt range and have a consistent vape. Not enough for me though.

You know, I just had another thought. I wounder if Evolv is the company Imeo contacted for the GGVV add on? I wonder if the kick is going to be Imeo's GGVV add on? All the talk of "will fit in a GGTS" and such. Food for thought.

You could be right. If that's the case, I'll hold out and get one w/the GG logo for $200. LMAO

  13. ROFL!! If this is the case, I'll be happy with my GG the way it is.

  14. I was just thinking, the wattage calculations above were if the voltage didn't drop under load. I think that to get a truer representation of the wattage we want, we would have to test our favorite setup's under load and calc the watts off that. I do not know how to do this though, since I do not have any sort of tester. Can someone with a setup to check voltage under load give me some results of testing or point me in a direction to buy one for myself?

I think this would give us a truer picture of what wattage we are looking for and it may fall in the range of the kick. That is assuming that the settings on the kick are watt output under load.

The more I read about this the less likely I will be buying one

I'm kinda in the same boat. I still think that I will get 1, but I doubt I will get more than that.

  17. I wanted one too and was super stoked but not sure anymore. At $40 we can get one and see how it works before buying more. I got turned off by 10watt limitation. I love the idea but want to give one a test run first to make sure it does what I want. Between the 2 of us we have a lot of different set up we can try it in.

I am going to wait and see. I like what I hear but the limitations a shuting me down.

10 watt limit, this should be under load but who knows right now.
Have to either modify my GGTS or buy an extension sleeve +25 bucks either way.
Have to forego 18650s in leiu of 18500s. costing 10 per IMR we would be at +40

So this 40 dollar add on will cost me 65-80 dollars plus shipping one way or the other.

I am in the pass crowd right now.

I gotta say, when I owned a Darwin I stayed at 10w most of the time. I'm still in. I just hope I don't need to buy ann extension for it

Honestly I was thinking about just buying the Darwin, but it looks god awful and it can't be used easily with the tank I use
