Awsome tutorial and inspired me to knock a few of these out this weekend. I bought a few of the 2 inch and four inch red oak and popular wood months ago at home depot. It's been sitting on my table, then saw this the other day and had to give her a try. Just put the gut in on the first one and waiting on the chrome switches for the others. Thanks sonar for the kick and the step by step. These are going to be great christmas presents for some of my vapor buddies.

Wow thanks for posting I love the way they came out for you especially the large one. Great idea to bevel the bottom corners never thought of it myself but love the way it looks. I'm glad I was able to give you that little extra push, they weren't as hard as you thought to make were they?

The bevel came from it being massive and needed to trim it down. Forgot about the wall adding a half inch to the width and length. Doh.. My hang up was the door. I never thought of using the battery holder to hold the door on. I was completely overthinking the design. Much easier than I thought and wood is very forgiving when it comes to mistakes. Thanks again for tutorial worked flawlessly.
