If you are referring to the "cap" that is sitting on the tanks and has the drip tip in it. This is the atomizer chamber for a Genesis Atomizer. It contains the stainless steel wick, coil & electrical connections.

 

so what do those things do that my little battery/tank doesn't do?
besides look really cool.
