Hey guys I have had a wood box mod for about three or four months and was wondering; one, what is the best way to re-cover it with what type of cleaner/sealer and two is there any kind of household item that will do the trick in a pinch

I use Howard's Feed and Wax on my VV Woodvil. It's at Home Depot near the wood stain.

Wow what a difference mine has lighter wood and on the edges like where my hand goes is starting to turn like a dull gray. How do you apply the coating with a brush or a old rag or one of those spongy brushes? btw thanks for the info

Soft cloth will work. The Howard's is really good stuff. They also make a harder wax that works well for a top coat. You can wax the inside too, just use a cotton squab. If you can leave the wax on overnight. Then just wipe it off and buff to a shine!

I'm not sure whether you'll find it at Lowes. I know it's at Home Depot.

  7. Sorry too brand loyal to shop at home depot as long as its not brand specific things that pertain to either store like the kobalt tools line then they should both carry the same things.... At least I would hope

Ohhh? Are you aware that Lowes has a stated corporate policy against PVs while Home Depot doesn't? I avoid shopping at Lowed because of that fact and I sent a letter to their customer service dept. telling them so.
