Having piggybacked on a line order, I thought I better take a look at what I might be getting. Watched some videos of how it goes together and wondered if I couldn't cobble something together.....

Grabbed a clearo connector, cut the centre post down and crimped it closed. Soldered a couple of wires to it and fitted it into a cut down 10ml syringe. Then cut the plastic part of a couple of 18g needles and pushed these through a silicone bottle stopper seal to make the connecting posts for the coil. Crimped the connecting wires to the needles and then made a SS mesh wick and coil as per the line. The centre hole of the bottle stopper is way too large for the wick so I fitted a carto end cap into it. The wick fitted perfectly in this and I then wrapped the coil connections around the posts. Fitted a carto outer into another section of bottle stopper and fitted this after injecting juice through the wick. It's all a bit wobbly but it vapes very nicely and seems to work best at around 7 watts which is lower than I would normally use.

Yes i used nichrome. Kanthal is a brand name and they have many different alloys including nichrome so unless they specify which one then no comparison can be made.

It was recommended to use Kanthal "A" 0.20.

The Line is the best thing I have used so far.

Though one of mine went short and have to send it back, lucky I bought two.

I saw that someone made one using a Giantomiser.

I procrastinated for a while slothy, its a tank with a hole in the top and a couple of connection pins after all, thought .. will just make one.
I restrained myself when just RC was ordering, but then when I saw a bunch and RC ordering a second time, have the mesh sitting here .. the laziness and buy brain kicked in.
I figured I could make a dodgy copy, but it just looks sexy and solid the real thing. If it works as well .. wow, BONUS.

    True enough....

    But...

    I'm a tight arse!

    And I like making shit....

Also have some N battery tube offcuts here that might just make a very purrdy tank with a bit of work

They are constructed b.comtifully. I get pleasure from screwing the top cap on and off.

How have you got the air flow working Johnny?

Up through the wick from the base?

Just put a small hole in the top section where the coil is as per the real mccoy. The wick stops short of the connector in the base.
