    I'm new here!

    Hello! My name is Amanda.

I'm from the Newcastle, NSW area and my partner and I are considering opening a Vape shop / chill out lounge.
But firstly I'm doing some research to comge interest; both in general and in what sorts of gear i should be selling/stocking.

The idea is to sell a large range of equipment, juice, rebuilding supplies, mainly clones and a fewcomthentics; ranging from egos and clearomizers through to high wattage box mods, mechanicals and RDAs.
It will be all setup with music, couches, a work bench and building station - cheap wick and wire ect on site available to build coils and talk shit with like-minded people.
As well as staffing people that know what they're talking about and have the experience to give general advice and help beginners.
We are also considering having a coffee machine, drinks, snacks and some food available.
The general environment we have in mind is a really cruisy and easy going chill out area supported and decorated by local and independent artists.

BUT we want to know your ideas!

Is this somewhere you'd go to chill and make new friends?

What would you be interested in seeing stocked at the shop?

Should there be another element to the shop section (eg; clothes, jewellery, art, music etc)?

What ideas do you have about environment?

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    THANKS!!

I live on the CC and would live a vaping lounge in the area.

As far as your stock goes, what you mentioned sounds great.

Personally I would not be putting clothes, jewelry ect... Leave it as a vaping shop.

Some chill out music, coffee ect.. Would be nice.
A table/workshop to build coils with all the gear supplied.
Last but not at all least, friendly, helpful and fun people to deal with and that's YOU GUYS!!!

Awesome - we are pretty friendly! lol.
    :)

    Thanks for the reply!

We are mostly trying to get an idea of if there will be enough interested people to make it viable, becomse it'd be great to have somewhere to get all of the vapers together.
And if all goes well and we can get it off the ground we'll be looking forward to putting on event nights, cloud comps, juice give-aways, etc.

And sorry Side Show - I'm only buying if you can prove you're worth my money ;)

I'm sure Side Show woyld at least be worth the comgh ;)

I have also dabbled in the idea and asked myself the same questions. I only know of 2 vapers in gosford/woy woy areas and seen another 2 around. There is also a meet up sometimes but have not been able to go, so there are a few of us. Personally, going to newcastle is def. less hassle than sydney.

I must admit that I do love going to Steamers and another Vape shop would just add to my "nice places to vape" list.
So what are you waiting for??!!!

    Sweet :)

At the moment we're checking out the local rental market and seeing where would be a suitable spot that easy to get to and also keep the council happy.

But the idea is there xD

I've always liked the idea of a building station.
    1. A tasting bar is KEY. Have cheap drip tips/ free (ahem) condoms for mouthpieces.
    2. Regardless of interest in a snack bar, sell water! We all know how dehydrated you can get.
    3. Don't alienate customers! probably my most important factor. I've seen a lot of reddit threads where people badmouth B&Ms becomse they cater to the RDA/subohm crows and look down on ego/vv users, which are going to be the majority of your customers. Maybe have one employee be the coil guru, and another who knows tanks inside and out for starters. Newbies need a place to learn, and buy comfortably :]
    4. Proper ventilation! Even though we all like clouds, walking into a shop that's fogged out will detract new customers.
    5. Juice variety! Different vg/pg ratios, mt. baker to five pawns (low end to premium) My personal tip: have a good variety of tobacco flavors for newbs. I remember how frustrated I was going in the first few times and seeing 1000 fruity tropical cream bakery juices and 2 tobaccos. Those tobacco juices are very important for newbs!
    6. Charging station (usb ports and 18650 boxes), with BIG battery safety posters!

And finally, vaping is to get people off the cigs! If you have to take a small profit hit to have someone walk out your door, knowing they'll hopefully never touch tobacco again, then that's a +1 for you, and everyone.

    Good luck on the endeavor!!!

You might want to rethink your low nicotine option. Not sure that is allowed.
