I've done a pretty good search and found nothing but the sparkplug steampunk so I came up with my own version. It should be about the length of a GGTS full length with an odysseus in full mode. I did a rough mock up of it in Rhino 3D There is a description of each part on the image

It will have simulated boiler plate rivets and straps, two sight glasses; one on the tank and one on the copper genesis mod. Should prove to be a fun project.
I will update as progress is made.

That is pretty damn crazy! I would be interested in the finished unit. Looks like based soley on color that you are using copper/brass? I thought I read somewhere that copper or brass couldn't be used with liquid nic? A stainless steel version would be bad ass though.

  3. Didn't know that about copper and nic liquid. Maybe use steel and copper plate the exterior. I dont think it would look quite the same with stainless. It would loose all steampunk cred.
Is it a reaction with the chemicals? Ive seen attys made with copper though. Now I really confused.

Yeah think it was a reaction. I will try and find it. Then again I could be completely wrong, but I thought I remember reading something on it a long time ago....

here is an atty made of brass

I think brass will be a good choice for the atty but for the rest of it, it will be copper

brass and copper will oxidise and discolor turning your ejuice green. I wouldnt use brass for anything other than a drip well which wont have juice in it all the time . Copper is much worse and wouldnt use it for anything the juice touches.

Stainless steel is really the only choice for using with juice.

  9. Thats not a good choic in the pic. The pic was most likely taken when it was new or its being scuffed down all the time. If you have any copper or brass around do a test . Put some ejuice in a cup and throw something brass in there. Within a day or so the ejuice will change color

Thankyou so much for banging this info into my head as I have been hell bent on a copper mod or brass. I am such a shit head and yes I know it but this has just saved me quite a bit of money. :D

I guess I will just have to punk up my RS, I got some old skeleton keys and I'm sure I can find wheels somewhere. It will be done.:)

  13. Your steampunk design would still look insane in polished stainless

I might just gold plate all of the contact surfaces of the atty.
