It’s Big, It’s Bright, It sucks juice all right…

Here is a 6.3 Volt mod I created along with a new 9 Volt resistor mod (see pic below).

Both “Vape” like there’s no tomorrow bringing full satisfaction to the extent that I have to put them down after a few drags. Had an issue of melting the DSE801 atomizer cart from too much testing. This plumbing fixture delivers massive vapor with a massive throat hit. The 5 volt LED ensures all things are operational and that extra reassurance that a big blast is about to hit soon!

Using MadVapes & VaporKings liquid and an 801 atomizer (product of choice) seems to be the perfect match for this beast. As you can tell by the pictures, it’s beefy and can handle the serious vaping experience. Needless to say I must switch out atomizers after a few hits as the stem gets pretty warm after 4-5 draws.

    Hope you enjoy the pics!

Nice, clean look to it!. It's satisfying when you make something with your own hands. How heavy is it? It looks pretty solid.
Been playing with my new Phiadas Woodimus tonight, arrived this afternnon.

    vape on!

Nice! What did you use for the body?
Led is bright for sure! Hope it comes with night mode! :)

Yes, the feel is very solid, and the weight is from the batteries.

I used 1 1/2" thin walled stainless steel plumbing adapter and cut it down with a pipe cutter (from the hardware store under sink plumbing section) and end caps (from the hardware store by the bolts, where the sliding drawers are filled with specialty items i.e. washers, rubber gromets, butterfly bolts).

I am jealous. I am going to have to try this out myself. Curious what you are using for the batteries.

Nothing special dude, this one just has 4 AA batteries. The 9V is just a standard rechargable 9 volt battery with a 200ohm resistor dropping the voltage. The LED is a 5 volt LED so no resistors required.

    More pice below:)

OK, 19 Hours and still vaping on the same battery set.
I draw 20-30 times an hour. Voltage is dropping down to 5.6 now however; still seems to be vaping fine! I brought plenty of atties with me today as many people have been cheifing on this at the office to see what e-smoke is all about... It's About NO-Smoke! ;)

IS there anyway for these to be used with cartomizers with an adapter and any chance you will be selling these units in the future?? just wondered looks sweet however either way. I am very new to the vaping world and find it totally cool all the different mods that are available for vaping.

These work just fine with carts... I do not have the time to produce and sell battery mods, I do it as a hobby and to avoid spending the high cost for a good Mod.

I plan on making a few more mods this weekend (ideas are popping out) ;)

    Take Care...........

As of 2008, the only 1.5 V lithium AA called "Ultimate Lithium"[1] is manufactured by Energizer[2], although AA-sized batteries with different nominal voltages are available from others. These should only be used in devices rated for the higher voltage.

I got the 1 1/2" pipe like you used on the fat cat. Can't seem to get the battery pack to fit. Any suggestions?

Hmm, the quad AA pack from Radio Shack fits like a glove. I did have to squeeze the corners a tad. Are you using the zink plated plumbing pipe (thin wall)?

Also, I found if you use the AA Hybird batteries it works better and longer. The Hybirds "at full charge" will deliver 6.4 volts and drain much slower than the average rechargable battery.

The FatCat lasts all day strong.... by the second day I was still vaping above 5 volts. I would unscrew the atty and do a volt check throughout the day for grins. I just loaded up a fresh pack and I can not take long drags without choaking;) I traded out at 5.3 volts...

I am pretty sure I got the same pipe. It was really the only pipe they had in that length and diameter. The battery pack fits just fine without the batteries but as soon as I put them in its the batteries that hit. I may need to go back with a battery pack and see if it fits anything else on the shelf.

That pipe is close..... I got the pipe that had no threads with a flange at the end and used a pipe cutter to make it shorter (cutting the flange off). The pipe you bought is around $7, the smaller "un-threaded one" was around $3. The battery pack slids in smooth on the side that I did not cut ad the pipe cutter will bevel the other end in slightly where I attached the DSE801 battery threads. Note that standard batteries slide in perfectly however, rechargeable batteries are a tad tight however, still slide in fine.

I knew something was different and yes the pipe was around 7 bucks. Ill head back up there today to see what I can find. Gonna take a loaded battery pack.

It vapes extremely well at least for me. Runs about 4.7v under load and plenty of vapor. The LED I used was the 4 pin flat LED and it is recessed in the housing itself. The bubble where the LED is, is just the hot glue but works very well for an illuminater.
