Str8v8ping sliver vv mod

Here goes another one This one turned out beautiful . I call it the SLIVER . I found the case laying around and had to mod it . It used to be black so i did a custom silver pearl paintjob and airbrushed a crazer type tarnished effect with some Candy black paint over the silver pearl . The 4 coats of clear . Came out sweet . I also made in the window in the rear for the voltage meter with tinted Plexiglass so its invisible until it on . Also Lit it up with LED shining through the grill area with diffuser behind it to spread light . The Potentiometer is also lit up with LEDs . I then printed up some decals of the name to fit in the recessed ovals of the case .In the battery compartment theres also a slot to hold a 3ml bottle of juice . Features include .

That is a good looking mod, but big. For that size, I would expect 18650's. Pretty sweet though.

 

i can see why you like the feel of it - it's about the size of the tv remote control - which we all know was made to fit a man's hand :-/

yup does fit my hand like a tv remote or maybe it is a TV remote . lol

 

Slight bit bigger than a Darwin , I was going to use 18650's but decided since it was already made for 14500 batts i should leave it and not start chopping it up to fit the 18650's .The 18650s may have not fit depth wise either .

 

I am very curious it its actual dimensions, can you take some pictures of it next to a tape measure? Also all said and done how much do you think it cost you to make this? I have to admit with it all assembled it looks pretty damn good! From the looks of it you have a ton of unused space in the inside and it probably would be too much work to get it to fit 2x 18650's, at least then it would seem a bit more practical. But overall like I said it looks good!

 

it is a nice mod...from reading i believe its a 1980's remote control..lol

i know i have owned that remote...i will figure out the dimmenions if he doesnt answer..lol

 

i knew i owned one..its an old RCA remote control..lol

That's pretty rad! A bit big for me but very nice clean looking mod

 

yup its the controller on the right rca color tek or something like that . Its 2" taller than a Provari and same thickness as a provari which isnt bad . Has much more power than a provari .Should be smaller in height than a ggts Theres really no wasted space in it . As you can see its pretty packed in there .
