  1. Heres my RUCKUS VV mod.Its a dual 18650 6A 30W mod.4v-6v. Im getting about 2 days of battery life or around 8ml of juice. Everything is reinforced making it solid as a rock.

    Features
    6A 30 watt vv chip
-Low voltage cutoff(cuts off at 5.6v)
    -PTC Fused Protection
    -Reverse Polarity Protection
    -Thermal shutdown Protection
    -LED Status light/Potentiometer illumination
-Multi function Voltage display with tinted window so display can only be seen when illuminated
-3 way switch (ON/Disp off(stealth mode)/Battery voltage unloaded and loaded)
-customized reinforced body with wine red metallic paint/carbon fiber
-5Amp horn switch running off inhibit pin
    -510 connector with drip cup
    -Dual AW IMR 18650

This is about the smallest size dual 18650 vv mod there is.

That is one nice looking unit, love seeing the pictures, thank you for sharing...........

  3. OH MAN! It looks just like mine only it has the digital display. I want! I was only kidding. My birthday really is tomorrow. :w_Praying_closed_ey

yea its the same case as the darknyte however the case has been customized by filling the holes in the lid and shaving the bumps on the other side.

And adding a digital voltage display! I already filled in the holes on mine but I left the bumps. They didn't bother me. The carbon fiber shrunk right over them. I'll trade ya.

  6. thats awesome... i just love boxes...

and thats just all anyone could want in one...

Looks pretty and very neatly assembled. Your layout is very sweet and efficient, but it appears you are using a OKR-T/6-W12-C. Unlike linear regulators these are not meant to be run wide open. Both the TI and Murata switching assemblies are quite specific about capping the high end and remaining in spec. Both specify a minimum resistance between ADJ to GND. The TI calls for 240Ω (it maxes at 5.5V) and Murata calls for 219Ω for it's 6V cap.

    From Murata's datasheet.

You seem to be using a one turn (270 degree) trimmer. With your current setup only a small portion of it is actually usable.

    A visual example here.

A limiting resistor of about 220Ω is needed in series with a trimmer, it will cap the high voltage at the correct max. If you choose the value of the trimmer carefully you can make the entire range of the trimmer rotation accesible and voltage changes will be far less twitchy.

    I also found this odd.

That's about ~ 2.8V a cell, and often the cell from the negative lead discharges a bit more. That's coming perilously close to being unrechargeable, many chargers have a low volt threshold where they will not start, usually around 2.5V.

    Food for thought.

Im well aware of the specs on the chip and how Potentiometers and batteries run . I work in the electronics field . I am using a 220 ohm resistor in series with the 200ohm pot . Low voltage cutoff is fine since the cells discharge voltage is 2.5v giving plenty of headroom. Also with the batteries under load the cutoff will kick in slightly earlier while in vape. Iv also never had a battery drain in more then a .2v difference from the other with the setup im running. No matter what it will cutoff well before the max discharge voltage.

  11. Interesting. Here's the voltage chart.

The 220Ω resistor should cap the high end at ~6V, not 7V.

In series with a 200Ω trimmer = 420Ω for about ~3.4V on the low end, not .4V.

Something ain't adding up. You need to recheck your wiring.

    Good Luck.

  12. how much would you let it go for?

yes i obviously have read the datasheet lol . I see what your talking about now. I wrote 7 instead of 6v by mistake.

  14. And yet another gorgeous str8 mod! Love the red and the carbon fiber, bet the blue will be pretty too. I would love to see a lime green or orange one to go with the skull tank ;)
