Smok Nord Pod Starter Kit Review

What we have for review today is the Nord pod starter kit, it is a new pod mod style device from Smok. I don’t want to say this an update of novo pod kit but it’s kind of like a step up from it, and also Smok themselves have stated that the Nord is directly inspired from the smok novo pods.

It’s a little bigger in size and also have large battery capacity then novo pod, and it is only need you replaceable coil heads rather then smok novo vape replacement whole pods.so smok nord vape pod more kind of works like a low wattage all in one starter kit.

Before we have compare the two difference,let’s have a simple check the smok novo starter kit first.



The Smok nord kit 1100mAh comes packaged comes with a short usb charge cable and two coils.The coils for made for two different styles of vaping, The first one is a 0.6 ohm mesh coil and it is perfect for you get more vapor. The another one is a 1.4 ohm coil which able to offer your excellent mouth to lung vaping experience. while smok company aslo offer a 1.4 ohm Ceramic Coil for this nord pod system kit which could be purchased separately.

Inside the nord is has a 1100mAh battery capacity and it’s can be recharges via the bottom USB port. also It has a 10 to 15W output and 3.3 to 4.2V voltage range based on the current replacement coil used, and smok nord pod system kit has 6 colours for you to choose from – Full Black, Prism Gold, Bottle Green, Red, Prism Rainbow and Black White.

The Smok nord starter kit functions just like any other button activated pod-style device, it’s incredibly easy to use, even for first-time vapers. 5 clicks on the power button turn the device off, 5 clicks to turn it off. Hold the power button and inhale from the drip tip to vape, Simple as that.

But if you forget to turn this fire button off and put it in your pocket, it will gets super hot and can melt the plastic area that holds the coil as well as the battery portion. so please do remember to turn it completely off and then stick it in your pocket.

And there is an RGB LED indicator light on the fire button which serves as a good guide to gauge the status of the battery.Two quickly clicks will shows you where the pod’s batteries at. so the green light will indicates us the power is between 70% to 100%, The orange light is show the power between 30% to 70%, Red light will on when battery power is lower than 30%.

Setting up the device, simply charge it up via the integrated micro USB port and the included charging cable until the LED stops flashing.With the different light colors you can easily understand your smok nord’s battery conditions.

The size of smok nord pod starter kit is 94x30x18.8mm and the cartridge has a 3ml eliquid capacity, we have a viewing window on the front of nord cartridge that’s gonna show you how much the ejuice you have inside. Also filling the ejuice is pretty easy,your will see the little side fill right there and have a small arrow on it,and then you just flick that,open you fill it up and then you pop that back down.
