Smoant Naboo 225w TC Mod Kit Review

The smoant naboo 225w kit is the latest offering from Smoant,it seems inspired by high-end smartphones, it features a large 2.4-inch colour screen with touch activated buttons, as well as the same user interface designs to choose from as seen in the Charon Mini,but the naboo 225w box mod also has a music mode.

The Naboo 225w mod comes with the new Naboo Sub Ohm Tank which uses mesh coils. The tank includes a 0.17 and a 0.18 ohm coil. it has two different glass tubes, a classic one that holds 2ml of ejuice, and a bubble glass which could hold up to 4ml ejuice capacity. Simple top-fill design with two large bottom airflow slots.

The smoant naboo mod is powered by the same Ant225 chip that is found in the Charon Mini released earlier this year. the big improvement is the incredible ramp up speed of 0.015s The Smoant naboo kit has the same user interface and modes but with the added features of music mode, touch buttons, and a much larger TFT colour screen. it still the same battery door design as on the Charon Mini.The beveled edges of the mod also work to keep the door securely attached, there’s absolutely no movement.

The 2.4inch TFT colour display of the smoant naboo 225w tc box mod is simply stunning. The dial display mode which we have seen in all of Smoant’s recent mods is also an option on the Naboo. With the larger screen, dial mode is much cleaner and easier to read. The third display mode available from the display menu is the new music mode. In music mode, a microphone located in the base of the Naboo, which causes the colours on the screen jump and dance and the touch buttons flash reacting to music and sound. It’s a little gimmicky but still fun to play with.

The Smoant Naboo Tank comes in the kit, with both a 4ml and 2ml glass. You also get two of Smoant’s new mesh coils a 0.18ohm rated for 40-80W and a 0.17ohm mesh rated for 60-100W. The coils are fairly tall and form the lower part of the chimney, the fill top having a very small protrusion where it meets the coil. This provides only a short space for your vapor, meaning you get some lovely flavourful and dense clouds.

I’m really impressed with the clouds vaping on the 0.18ohm mesh coil at 50W. Dual bottom adjustable airflow channels, give you plenty of air and you can restrict the airflow a fair way. Wide open the airflow is a little noisy, and even more so when closed down. There is some turbulence, but this can be forgiven for the pure flavour and cloud production. The Naboo tank comes in the same range of colours as the mod, the gradient blue version comes with a matching rainbow tank.

The smoant naboo mod box 225 isn’t the heaviest or largest mod I own, but it is definitely a solid mod and heavier than the smaller 18650 mods that seem to be hitting the market at the moment. I still find the size comfortable to use, and it is’t as heavy as my original Smoant Charon TC. The fire button is located on the size of the mod, it’s easy to press with very little resistance. Below the fire button is your touch button lock. Press this to lock the touch buttons so you don’t accidentally change your resistance. You can also press both touch button to lock in your resistance.
