I'm sure that most of you are well aware that there has been some talk on whether or not unregulated mods should be banned since mechanical mods are more likely to explode compared to variable wattage mods that have safety features which make it impossible to explode on you.

If you ask me, I am against any type of regulation. I don’t believe mech mods should be outlawed.

I do believe that emphasis on how to use safely use these type of mods should be the priority, but the problem with that is not everyone will listen. People are stupid and hard headed. No matter how much you warn them, some people have already made up there minds and “know” what they are going to do.

If they get hurt in the process of pushing their mods to exceed their limits then that’s their fault. We all know you shouldn’t be doing that unless you are an expert who has been doing this for a while and plus you have sound knowledge of how batteries work.

One should be very cautious with sub-ohm vaping using unregulated mods, but to ban them all throughout and deny all vapers the choice to use mechanical mods is just wrong. What are your thoughts on this topic?

Um, I definitely think there has to be some kind of public service anti-trash regulation going on, but I do agree that regulation should be as minimal as possible to keep innovation going strong. The problem is that if there is no regulation, people will abuse it, and if there's too much, people will abuse that too. People suck :/

This is such a tough issue to set a decision on. For me, there should be some type of law that makes sure all mods are safe, even the unregulated ones. But we all know how that can be impossible, since the term "unregulated" means they're not truly allowed by the law. However, like you said, people are very hard-headed, tell them to not do this and the next thing you know, they're doing that. In that sense, it's safer to create laws that will help these people be safer. I'm more concerned for people around them who might be affected in case an accident occurs with their mods.

Well, I don't think I will ever buy something non-official or unregulated. It's always been suspicious to me. I don't wanna fall victim of any counterfeit product.

Hmmmm... That's a great point actually. Unregulated products may be counterfeit products, although not all the time. It certainly helps if all our products can be regulated since this way, we're sure that it is not dangerous or illegal. That's why there should at least be some laws or guidelines regarding unregulated mods. If it's possible, they should be even undergoing some test (highly unlikely though). For the time being, we should exercise caution whenever we buy such unregulated mods and try to research about them before buying them.

I am a little biased on this subject because my Tesla Two is an unregulated mod with low voltage protection and short protection.

I didn't know this when I bought it, but found this out when I was reading the manual. To be honest, it worried me a bit because I don't know a ton about mechanical stuff; however, I don't need to know all of that, I just need to practice some common sense.

For instance, if your tank is hot, put the vape down. If the mod's case gets warm, put the vape down. If you suddenly start burning through atty heads, have someone who knows what they are doing look at it.

I think unregulated mods have a bad rep because the people who don't bother to learn about what they are using end up on the news because they got hurt.
