Question to ProVari owners

Discussion in 'Vape Mod Talk' started by [email protected], Apr 26, 2015.

  1. At what volts does your ProVari start to blink? mine starts at 3.8v consistantly
    with AW 18650 2000mah

  2. is hig3.2 I think and a resting V of 3.4ish? I will need to double check to confirm.

Mine seems to vari. LOL HA provari. Anyways anywhere from 3.4-3.8 Mine also seems to read voltage low everytime though too. I pull batteries fresh off the charger @ 4.23 -4.24 and it tells me it is 4.1. So who knows.

Are those when it cuts off or the button starts to blink slowly? mine cuts off shortly after the batts reach 3.3-3.4v.

my post was for the slow blink.

if yours is doing that then reset it by turning the botttom cap till the blinking stops and then retighten the cap and it should stop. may be this will help it?? Might be you have a bad IMR that has alot of sag under load and dropping really low causing this to happen.

What are you vaping?? 5V? 6V? I am still using a low resitance atty (1.2Ω) set at about 3.6V which gives me 10ish watts or so.

three brand spanky new AW IMR 18650's 2000mah and an AW IMR 18650 1600mah( 1 yr old) all do it at about the same time this is a ProVari V2
running a 1.5ohm DCHV (Vapor Kings) Dual Carto in a 3ml tank at 4.6v I know i'm pushing the upper limit but damn these carto's rock same one for 2 weeks and still like new.
Just seems that this blinks for half the time a battery lasts, getting around 3-4mls of juice through it before that batt needs changing
Dual Coil Heavy Vapor (DCHV) Stainless 510 compatible mega cartomizers

I'm use to vaping my GGTS/AVS 808 combo at 7.4v+ ( 2x18350's) so I'm bound to push most PV's to the limit. Even my Darwin had trouble keeping up :)

I am going to bet seeing you have the voltage on up there that the cell is dipping down real low under load and that is causing it to trip the slow blink.

I woul love to have a rig set up to test that theroy see what amps and voltage you are pushing out of the battery while under load. That is a lot of juice coming out of a battery that is currently 3.8V under rest to bump it to 4.6V and 3.1 amps of delivered power.

  11. Update:
Changed up to a Kanger horizontal coil carto 2.5 ohm everything else stays the same
Results almost twice the battery time and blinking didn't kick in till 3.3v.
The Dual Coil HV's at 4.6v is really putting a heavy load on the IMR's :) still like this setup it just ROCKS!
Hoyt I think your right in the IMR must be sagging under load to trip the slow blink.

I have 5 provari's, all of them blink when the battery hits around 3.4v, I'm using Panasonic CGR18650CH batteries in them, work flawlessly and last me longer than AW IMR 2000mah

Provape told me 3.2-3.4 is where it cuts off which is exactly what i get on both my vari's . If your getting 3.8v id send it back to provape to fix.

Are these REALLY worth it? I want to hear the good, the bad , the ugly. Is this your favorite mod that you've EVER used? I'm not 'there' yet but looking seriously in that direction.
Thanks, you can PM if this is too lame to even address here.

I dont know how everyone else feels about their Provaris but I love mine. I have not had any problems with it. I use mine with a tank. It is solid built(I have dropped it a couple of times) Love the variable volt. Didnt know it would make much difference but it does.

It takes something very good to get me not to use my SSGTS/AVS now going on 3 weeks :)
I will say this I'm really stressing it with 1.5 DCC's at 4.6v the very upper limit before it errors out. It just rocks
these! The build quality is Top Notch
