As you know, I recently got my fav mod, GGTB .. I covet it !! Anyway, I was thinking "Wouldn't it be cool to have a similar tube mod (not another flashlight mod), but be barely larger than a 14500 battery and support both an 801 carto (my fav) as well as any 510 device?" (I have strange daydreams sometimes). Here is my latest mod. As you can see, it resembles a mini version of my GG. Of course, it is completely different, it's all looks! Still looking for a name. I started out with a 1-AA cell phone emergency charger As you can see, it is quite a bit smaller than my GG It consists of 3 components: an alum tube, a battery cap, and my homemade switch unit. Here is my switch unit. It consists of a battery PCB, a tactile switch, and an 801 batty connector, all sealed into a single unit with hi-temp hot-glue. It even has a drip cup, LOL Man, my Godzillamizer is bigger than the battery Wow!! It works pretty good!!
I have a question that is completely not relevant to this post. Can you name off all of your mods, without looking at them? Wait here is a cool idea put the all together and take a picture of them at once!
Good idea .. to tell the truth, I have completely lost track .. here is a pic of my boxmod family as of about a month ago. It's out of date but includes VVs, touchies, 5v's and my green dripper By asnider123 at 2011-07-19 I loaned out my camera and haven't gotten it back, guess I better do that
I completely forgot when I posted last nite. I also have an extension tube, so this mod can use either 1 or 2 14500 batts (for 3.7 or 7.4v vaping) or, for the truly adventurous, how about 4-14250's for a 14.8v experience? LOL Of course, you would really need a high-resistance atty or you would just burn it out. But the vapor would really rock for a second or two
Cost Breakdown: Emergency cellphone chargers, Ebay, $2 ea Smart Emergency Battery Charger for Nokia SAMSUNG phone | eBay (optional) Second charger for extension tube, Ebay, $2 801 batty connector, goodprophets, $1 Tactile switch, Madvapes, $1 Total (including extension tube), $4 for 3.7v version, $6 including batt extension tube Pretty good, eh?
Here's another pic, showing this new homebrew with battery extension next to my GGTB. Note that it is slimmer and about an inch longer than the GG. I think it's right handsome!
Yer right, so far I have only been spending money, though not too much I have a bunch of parts on hand, so I can design a mod whenever I get in the mood, nice place to be
very nice, so clean looking, might have to look into making one of those, don't need it but it just to sweet looking
I believe it is one of your mods that I won in ripple contest and I just can't tell you how excited I am to finally get one of them. I have been watching your threads along with many others. Have you named this itsy bitsy mod or teenie weenie ( yellow polka dot )mod yet. Anyway I just wanted to say Thank you.
All your stuff is soo cool! i just want to start sending you random things to see if you can "mod" them! hahahahaa
