    G"day All,
Im new to this forum and have been vaping for two weeks without having not one cigarette, just went straight to the vape and never looked back and don't feel like or want a cigarette.
I purchased myself a Kangatech Subox mini starter kit and started with the 0.5 OHM coil and at first was coughin my guts up but got use to it within a few hours.
Today I tried the 1.5 OHM coil and did not like it at all and went straight back to the old coil but I think it may have seen better days as Im getting a dry throat and it just has lost its flavour a bit.
A mate got me 100ml of apple liquid 12mg which I really like but I think its a bit strong as I was always a 8mg cigarette smoker.
So far Im loving it but I have a few questions that I hope you may answer for me.
1- How long should a coil last for( 0.5 sub OHM), I use about 2ml of liguid a day, 20watt at 3.5 volt, is this OK, it feels good to me.?
2-Have I made a good choice with this setup.?
3-alot of the abbreviated terms used in this forum just go over my head, Is their a list of abbreviated terms anywhere.?
4-I would like to just try to eventualy use my vape without any nicotine, is this usually successful for most and what is a common juice used.?
5-The cheap flavoured nicotine liquid from overseas makes me think there must be better liquid out there but its so hard to know without anyone to talk to that has a lot of experience about it,Are the chinese ones shit.??
6-Im thinking of ordering an O ring set, A spare glass tank and obviously coils, should I get anything else other than liquid.?
7-I just leave it on the charge every night, is this OK.?
That should be enough for starters.
    Thanks in advance All.
    Regards
    Native

I'll try to answer but i don't have that device and only at this 6 months.

    1. A coil should last a week and will get gunked up over time sure they could go longer but performance will drop off. 20 watts is fine it it feels good then it is good.

    2. It is a starter kit it is a good place to start but as you get into it you might want some new gear.

    3. There might be a term page here but just ask, best to know then not know idk.

    4. You can reduce and you can use zero nic it all depends on what your goal is.

    5. I think you get what you pay for. also http://vape.to/e-cigarette-vaporiza...s/34823comssie-juice-vendors-list-2016-a.html

    6. Nope thats a good start try to buycomssie if you can. Alot of us buycomssie 0 nic liquids and add our own nic that we import you'll need to look overseas for that.

    7. Yes and No. I'm sure we all do leave it overnight and its about what the device needs to charge but you shouldn't leave anything unattended. I see the sub box has a removable battery do you have a spare 18650 battery and charger or are you charging like a phone (plug and play) Battery type https://houseofvape.comcom/vape/mod-batteries/sony-vtc5-30amp-2600mah-flat-top-battery/ can be found on most vape sites.

    Hope that helps.

There is no set time on the life of a coil. It depends on a few things. You should notice when it needs to be changed ie produces less vapour and or tastes funny

2-Have I made a good choice with this setup.?
I have no experience with his device but its a popular brand.

3-alot of the abbreviated terms used in this forum just go over my head, Is their a list of abbreviated terms anywhere.?
Dont know. Havent seen anything but I presume a quick Google of the term with the word 'vape' will get you an answer.

4-I would like to just try to eventualy use my vape without any nicotine, is this usually successful for most and what is a common juice used.?
If you want to do it bad enough of course its possible :) There are quite a few people here who have dropped really low and some have stopped the nicotine altogether. There is no common juice. There are so many out there. Taste is very subjective so I think its best to go with what you think you will like rather than what other people like.

5-The cheap flavoured nicotine liquid from overseas makes me think there must be better liquid out there but its so hard to know without anyone to talk to that has a lot of experience about it,Are the chinese ones shit.??
Most of the nicotine in the world comes from Asia. If you buy juice from the US, the nic probably came from Asia. Its not shit. I get my nicotine base from Hiliq and so do quite a few people on Vape.to now. Its good stuff. Here is their thread http://vape.to/vendor-general/32945-hi-liq-thread-jumping-ryan-68.html
As far as buying premade ejuice and/or flavours, I dont have that much experience buying from China. I've had a couple from Hiliq which have been good but the stuff I have had from other Chinese vendors hasn't been. I usually get my premade juice from the US or locally.

6-Im thinking of ordering an O ring set, A spare glass tank and obviously coils, should I get anything else other than liquid.?
Not really, but I would perhaps think about getting a spare set up in the very near future incase something goes wrong with the one you have. Its always good to have backups becomse you dont want to be comght short. Its also good to have a couple of tanks when you just start out so you can try different flavours and find what you like.

7-I just leave it on the charge every night, is this OK.?
No. Dont over charge your battery. Make sure you take it off the charger once its fully charged. Educating yourself on battery safety should be on your to do list too

With regard to the 8mg you were smoking, that is the tar level. Its not the amount of nicotine. If you are finding 12mg too strong, you could try going down to 8mg. It cant do any harm. If your body isnt getting enough you will just vape more.

Hi Native, congratulaions on two weeks smoke-free, and welcome :)

    All excellent advice above.

A list of abbreviations is here: http://vape.to/new-vapers-forum/16846-common-abbreviations-used-avf-please-add.html

There are probably others by now, but it's a good start. Just ask if specific ones baffle you :)

I started at 18 mg/ml, and gradually reduced (over 2.5 years) to 3 mg/ml. Some vape at much higher levels, others vape with 0 nicotine. It all seems to be very personal. I wouldn't be in too much of a rush to reduce your nicotine levels, but you could buy some lower strength to see how it goes.

Well done on getting rid of cigs, I did like you, off the cigarettes the day I bought my 1st setup.

On the Nic level, if you are subohm at 0.5 and lung hitting, IMHO, 12mg may be too high. You get a shit load more vapor from your 0.5 ohm coil. I started at 12mg before subohming, then went to 0.5ohms and lung hits, wow, head spins and comsea.
