    Hey Guys n Gals,
So I bought a Kayfun v4 clone from a friendly member of these forums, knowing that I would probably take a while to start building, but wanted to really get to know the thing, take it apart and put it back together again, all that jazz, but after coming back from Bali with some good kanthal and cotton, I feel I'm ready to start building.
I've read up on ohms law, familiarised myself with the ins and outs of building and went ahead and wrapped a very simple single coil to start with. No problems there, all looks sweet, heated the wire with a blowtorch first, used a little screwdriver to wrap around, all looking fine. The problem I have is actually mounting it to the deck.
I've read that you are meant to wrap the legs around the underside of the screwhead and tighten down but for the life of me I can't get it to stay in place, so when I tighten the tiny screws down, it just slips out.
It may be a n00b question, but that's what this section is for I suppose.
Any help would be met with love, praise and if you live around Perth NOR, and would like to run a tutorial, beer.
    Cheers all.

Lol man same thing happens with me with the kayfun 4 , I read that u need to unscrew the screws up really high and it helps , all I know is it pisses me off , the way I do it is wrap it around both screws on each side and it helps with stability a lot more.

Yep, need to raise the screws fairly high and use BOTH screws. The 2nd screw on each end is not designed for a dual coil build, it's to help make sure you can secure the coil down.

What .comge wire are you using, smaller .comges can be easier to get tightened down but 28.comge is pretty good starting point and not too hard to tighten. I'd be more than happy to help if you were in S.A. I'll take a pic of how I try to help getting the coil tails to stay under the screws later on this arvo if you like?

Mate thanks very much, if you could take a photo and send it through that would be awesome.
I'm using 26ga, and I've got a couple of little dripper attys on order from slowtech, for more fiddling around later.
I didnt even consider using both screws on each side, hopefully that will give me more joy!
    Thanks for all the help.
