Quick guess are those slb bauway or whatchamacallit atomizers? :) All those a usually 3.2 Ω (PPL like em or hate them, but they seem to work better w/ high volt stuff)

Ha ha cmon you diggin to deep! lol

Well, if it says Joye510 that does not mean jack. Sometimes it'll say joye510 in the header and than a long list in the description joye510, titan 510, tecc510 etc....
We got used to believing things that suppliers post..... But if you just looking on a random website try looking for at least the words authentic joye 510
But anyway, if you ever not sure if its an actual authentic joye atomizer just e-mail the seller, nothings wrong with asking ?
I ve been getting most of my parts stuff from http://www.heaven-gifts.com Shipping can be pretty pricey if you are looking for just a few items.
But just try asking our vendors (lot of them changed their supplier through out the time) or anyone else knows more on this. Also try www.ecigsupply.com.

And if you do find out let me know, I just got some 1.5ohm atties 2day and I think Im gonna try going back to 3.7v, so can always add some good ol 2.3 ohms without a big e-mail authenticity search.

  5. I vote yes on the spell checker thingy:)
I checked all my 510 atty's and they range from titans to true Joye's all are around 3.0-3.3 ohm except for LR atty's from drew.

    OK

Hi everyone Update just got my 4 New Atty's in today and what do you know there reading 3 at 2.3ohm and the other 1 is reading at 2.4ohms OK another thing was that i was doing some research around and found that the ones that i bought could have not BEEN the authentic joye 510 attys. and that is way they were reading at 3.2ohms, i mean iam not 100% sure that my assumption is true or not but most likely they wern't' the true joye 510.

Also i want to point something out that as of right now i don't see a difference in performance between the 2 but then again i have not yet broke in the new atty. so I WILL KEEP YOU GUYS UPDATED in a few days or so and let you know what my final opinion is on the difference in performance

But i will say one thing tho the 3.2ohms Atty's seem to be running a little cooler then the 2.3ohms but once again i will give you my final opinion in few days or so.

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE HELP I REALLY APPRECIATED IT AND HELPING ME SORT THIS OUT :)

Nice! Hope the site did not say authentic tho.... grrrr
Let us know where you got them all from, in case someone will be wondering.

i got the new 4 of them from Rocky mountain Vapor and the good thing is that i also get e Liquid from them too so that works out great for me also the other ones that i got did not say authentic they said "FOR A JOYE 510" Rookie Mistake lol :) shit it happens lol

  18. Oh nice!
Ya I was just making sure thats not how they marked them :)
And as far as being a particular brand, I dont think it really matters anymore..... Everyone either caught up on quality, or went down. So, it kinda got all balanced out. lol
Tho the best atty for me will always be the one that works :)

That's the whole point. And how much 'cooler' can easily be determined using Ohm's Law. When Joye made their 510 the thing that set it apart from other e-cigs of the time was not the rather generic 3 piece design it was the ohms of the atty. Joye atties have always been around 2.1 - 2.3Ω (if it's not it's an imitation 510). It's the low ohms which set the Joye 510 apart. It's the low ohms that determined the Throat Hit everyone started raving about. When the knock-off semi-clones (they aren't true clones as that would infer identical performance) came out they looked like a Joye but did not perform like one because they failed to match the low ohms. This also lead to the wildly varied opinions/results (TH, vapor, batt life etc.) when folks talked about 510's.

It turns out though many bought Joye 510's for the wrong reason, they found they didn't really like the heat and TH they provide, plus they tend to drain batteries a bit faster due to their higher current demands. That's part of the reason DSE 901's are still quite popular.

Let's quickly compare some atties for the WATTS (power/heat) they produce. I'll use 3.7V (even though commercial Joye made e-cigs are actually less, about 3.1V while actually vaping).

A 510 imitation @ 3.2Ω will generate about 4.3 watts, pulling about 1.2A of current.

A Joye @ 2.2Ω will generate about 6.2 watts, pulling about 1.7A of current. That's a noticeable difference in the way they vape. You could look at it like a 40W vs a 60W light bulb.

Everybody is now raving about the LR atties, again it's all about the WATTS.

LR @ 1.5Ω generate about 9.1 watts, pulling about 2.5A of current. Again a significant increase in heat/power.

For me 9 watts is my 'High Voltage' sweet spot. That translates to about 4.4V with a Joye atty, which is what I get with my 5V@2A powered home-brew PT.

Do note true watts for a stock Joye e-cig are actually about 4.4W based on it's loaded voltage of only 3.1V.
