I have a terrible habit of either falling asleep on the couch or the recliner, or coming so close the first louder noise from the TV wakes me up with a start. This wouldn't be such a problem except I often do it with my Provari resting comfortably on my lap.

Then I stand up, forgetting about said Provari.

I've done this more times than I care remember and the Provari is still going strong. Unfortunately I'm almost always running a Liquinator/Boge and the carto's often don't come off as lightly.

The impact .comses the collar to snap. Sometimes I'm lucky and it doesn't break straight away, leaving the tank at a slight angle but still vapable. Other times I get to watch the Provari roll in one direction and the Liq the other thinking "there goes another carto".

Murphy's Law, I always seem to do it within a day or so of dropping in a fresh carto - never towards the end of the week when it really needs replacing anyway!

Anybody give any tips or tricks that I could use to sure it up a bit to survive the drops. I know I could just be more careful, but where's the fun in that?

I have never broken a carto with the SS liquinator, which i am not sure if it is luck or not.
it could be .comse its a tight fit on the carto and runs touching the provari almost, so any sideways bending forces are removed.

i cant think of what else can be done without a different atty connector on the provari.

Ummmm fall asleep with an ego and clearo maybe?

Failing that .... gawd knows ... about the only thing comes to mind is perhaps having a sleeve made up which slips over the liquinator onto the Provari body and stops the flex point?

Might sound silly, but what drip tip are you using?

Reason I ask is Provari bog/liqu. are being dropped all the time around here and it seems that only the tanks with the big heavy, long SS drip tips snap the carto.

I do keep a small gap between the Liq base and the Provari base. Just had a look and I can push it down that last little bit, but that seems to make the draw tighter than I prefer. Can't win, eh?

I used to always have a Cherry Tip on them but after breaking 4 of them I decided $15 tips were probably a bad idea for me. At the moment I'm just using the basic delrin one that it came with.

I think Stoney has the right idea, but I prefer the lighter draw so I might just have to live with it.

i said 'almost touching' .. only needs a gap a bit more than a paper thickness i guess.
I run minimum gap with acceptable draw.
usually pushed it down to hit provari then rotate tank while backing it off that tiny bit. like 1/4mm or so..
