How do I get into a Ego-T Battery ??

Just as the title says ....

I want to check out it's inner workings and set up in the hope of modding it, instructions on how to get in there without destroying would be very helpful.

(Hmm after thought ..... prolly should have put this in the modding section, DOH!)

 

A normal ego the top section is pressed into the tube, clamp end in vice (gently), and wriggle side to side while pulling and it should give a bit and slide out. Not sure about the PT batts as they have the bottom connector as well. Probably all siides out like normal though.
To refit, sit it back in the top on a solid desk and use provari as a hammer, worked for me. It has not moved since refitting.

I might mention the earth to the ego batts are soldered onto the very bottom of the aluminium tube so if u do pull it out on a working battery u will need to rethink the earth
