so i've heard 5.2 is the ultimate "sweet spot" when it comes to vaping, and i'd love to be able to make a mod hit this voltage... how can it be done? resistors with a 6v system? some way to bump up a 3.7 system to 5v? let me know, highly interested in the details and design ideas!

  2. Maybe smaller battery's to equal 5.2 volts with a spacer, and/or sleeve

    King,

You can boost a 3.7v battery to 5v. using this circuit board from Texas Instruments...

    part # PTN04050CAZ.

However, you'll need a decent battery, I recommend the AW brand, they cost more, but they work much better.

The Trust fire, and the other blue 14500 3.7 protected bats also work, but they tend to drop v quickly an need changing too often and that can be a pain.

With the Chuck you can Vape using 3.7, uses an 18650 battery or 6 Volt, using CR123's will work as-is, or
CR2's will require a battery sleeve.
Just to show the change of Volts with using different battery's along with a sleeve, and you could use spacers.

Are you trying to injure him? You CAN NOT mix Li-ion and NiMH.

Do not try to put batteries of different voltage together, this will cause a hardship for the lower voltage battery.

The best way to get 5 volt is with an inline voltage regulator.

for 5.2v get a ptn04050 sample from texas instruments download the spec sheet. If you go to the last section on the spec sheet, it should tell you what you need to know.

A few details on how to wire it would have been more informative than your pics.
