I have two ego-w kits which get used by the other half regularly.
Went to use them and nothing. Put the catridge on a new battery and that worked but what was wrong?

Put a multimeter on and was getting 4v and on the charger the green light was on.

The missus was a bit ham fisted when she recharged the batteries and screwed them on too tight. This pushed the centre contact into the battery.
No I knew what was wrong- how to fix?

This shoudd work for all ego batteries.

First up with a hacksaw, deepen the vent indentations along the ring of the battery connection, nearly down the the internal screw thread.
Then with a file or bench grinder, take about 1mm off the ring.

    Clean out the internal filings.
Reconnect and test. I have done 3 batteries this way and worked each time.

Makes more sense to me to educate the "good lady" rather that have to perform micro surgery on the poor abused eGo batterys. Once, maybe but twice, ok but three?????? Having said that my better half does not come near my Vaping stuff, so I have nobody to blame when there is a F*** up!!!

i just screw up till the led changes colour then go a 1/4 turn or so.
I was thinking yesterday the lavatube is going to need this surgery as well. I have a new tank (the one with the flanged dual carto) and it doesn't work on the LT, comparing threads to a stock boge I can see that its maybe 0.5mm shorter thread.

Stoney, noticed that is the same on some of the ego batteries I have looked at.
