I was gifted my Provari mini recently last Christmas and have grown concerned about the button. When I first received it the button was very sturdy and had a lot of resistance but after a week it got a little loose and developed a rattle. After a few more weeks the resistance in the button got so loose that when I look at the device in side view the button is often recessed on either side from the lack of support. Now it rattles even worse and last night I noticed the button can rotate completely. I wasn't sure if that is normal so I removed the battery and looked inside and on the larger portion of the plastic button I can see a cloudy colored area that looks like it might've been glued to something.

I baby my Provari so I know it wasn't something caused by myself.

I emailed provape last night haven't gotten a reply yet and I figured I'd ask if any Provari users could give some input.

I assumed at first it was normal for the button to loosen up and sort of break in but I am not sure if the butting being able to rotate and that cloudy area of the button or the severity of the rattle are normal.

    Thanks vapers.

SethGrimmrInWonderland I have a Provari Mini and checked just checked my button. I can rotate it easily but have no rattle at all. When I look inside the tube I can see that the rubber button appears to have part inside the tube that is larger than the outside button. The part of the button in the tube is a cloudy color and when I press on the exterior button the cloudy internal peice presses on a red button inside the tube.

I have only heard positive things about Provape's customer service. It may be that they received your email after business hours yesterday and if they are closed over the weekend you may not received a reply until Monday.

I was an idiot and used the return ticket service which why I didn't immediately get a reply so I sent them another email they verified everything was completely normal.

This is what she said "This is completely normal. When we build a ProVari, the button is placed into the button hole in the tube, we then slide the circuit board into place and the button actually floats above the tactile switch that is on the PCB. This is the only way we would be able to get the clearance necessary to install the circuit board into such a tight space. In fact, if you look at the button head on, you will see a smaller, dark circle directly below it. That's the rubber plunger from the tactile switch that the button pushes down to activate the PCB.The foggy part you see inside is the wider bottom of the button that prevents it from falling out of the button hole. One reason the button becomes looser is because each time you push the button, the plastic on the button is scraped by the metal tube. This is normal and okay. The button will not get any looser than it is now.I can also rotate my button because of this.Yes, your button has finally broken in. This is how the ProVari was designed and it's perfectly normal :)"

I have also heard a lot of people talk about their Provari button being rattly after time goes on so I am reassured. How long have you had your mini and how often do you use it? I am guessing mine and some other folks heavier use of the Provari is why the button is already broken in. My Provari is my only mod and I run 3-4 mils of juice through it a day so I could see why mine broke in so quickly.

So glad you got a reassuring response. I have owned my Provari Mini about 9 months (guessing) but I rarely use it. I tend to use my mechanical mods about 95% of the time. Sorry I can't give you anymore info than that but we have a lot of Provari users that have been using them a couple years with no problems. I believe it is still the best most dependable VV mod available so vape on.....
