Hey iam looking at ordering some concentrates as i have been looking at some of the recipes
Here and it seems like i have to make different orders from suppliers in order to get the same brands as the recipes say
    They are using
So my question is with the different brand with the same flavour does it matter..

  2. Thats a good question, but the answer is sometimes it matters, and sometimes you can substitute brands for different ones. If you are looking for a one stop shop, for most of the concentrates used, try Juice Factory, they have a huge range. Vaping Cobra is another good one for concentrates. Generally I will state if the brand used shouldn't be substituted, as sometimes it can make a huge difference to the end mix.

I definitely think it makes a difference!
I haven't had a huge amount of mixing experience, but I've found that I prefer some TPA/TFA flavours over the FlavourArt ones of the same flavour.
I got some flavours from a US supplier that just taste like what I'd imagine @rse crack would, but other brands of the same flavour are ok.
I'm planning to do an order through Juice Factory soon to try out their super concentrates, which have pretty good reviews from what I've seen

I have 7 different brands of grape flavour concentrate. Every one of them is different, ranging from a more purple hubba bubba to more of a wine like flavour.

Brands matter, and unfortunately, in each brand, some flavours are good, and some flavours are bad. Also, their potency varies greatly. Some brands you need to add up to 7%, while others only require 2%.

My sugestion is to always start small. Buy the cheapest and smallest units that you can possibly find and buy a whole bunch to try them out.

I've found that some flavours of some brands require up to 20% "concentrate" to get a good result.
Often it's the desserty-cakey ones that require quite a lot of concentrate.
It pays to experiment.. sometimes blending different concentrate brands together which have the same flavour profile can be quite successful, and sometimes it's a recipe for arse juice. There are so many variables at play, including that most trickiest one, personal taste.

If you substitute one brand for another, you will definitely not get the same result as the person who created the recipe, but it may be better and it may be worse. That depends on personal taste.

How do you know if you've used too little? It will taste "watery" to you, too diluted, impossible to discern the flavour.
How do you know if you've used too much? It will taste too strong, have a chemical and/or very unpleasant flavour - think about tasting undiluted vanilla extract.. in fact, you've probably got some in the cupboard, so go ahead and stick a Q-tip in the bottle and put it on your tongue so you'll have a mouth memory of what too strong tastes and feels like. I always taste the concentrates too, in that manner, so I know what I'm dealing with. They're food safe, so there's no danger apart from an unpleasant taste for a little while.
