Charge life for CR123?

Discussion in 'Vape Mod Talk' started by StillJustAGirlfriend, Apr 6, 2015.

  1. I am considering getting a 6v pv and wanted to know the answer to this question. How long do the batteries last on a 6v 2 CR123's last? I am talking about hours in a day of normal vaping before a recharge.

    Thank you,

    Eddie

Well, It is always hard to answer as to how many hours of use you ll get out of the battery.
It all depends on how much one vapes, or even better (IMHO) is how many ML of juice the use.
For me, 2 123s will last most of the day. And about a day + with 18650 at 3.7v

Just to make sure :) I dont know about your planned set up for the 2 cr123s, but most cr123s are 3.6-3.7v.
So when your order make sure you are getting 3.0 volt batteries. Also you will need a separate charger for 3 volt batteries.

What mod are you planing on using at 6v?

Thanks for the reply MITRICH. It is very helpful.

I really don't know much about the 5 or 6 volt mods. But I would like to get something that hits better than my 3.7v. If you have any suggestions please let me know. I was thinking about making my own mod.

    No problem!

Well, depends on if you got a mod already or not......
If you have a "big battery mod" like a silver bullet or something like that.... Your best bet is just to get some 3volt batts and charger.
If you have t gotten a mod, and looking for one... than we'll start there :)

Also, before getting into 6v I'd say try (unless you already have) Low Resistance attys. I was a long time 6v volt user, ever since low resistance attys came out I was using only them.

If you plan on making a mod, especially if you looking at making a battery box mod, check out madvapes.com . I hear they've been running low on some stock items, but they usually got everything you would need to make a box mod. They also have tutorials on their site. Well, hope this helps! If you got any other questions, just ask away! :)

Since we are on the subject of batteries… I’m a bit confused and need an expert’s advice. Currently, I’m using Tenergy LiFePO4 750mAh RCR 123A and the Tenergy charger that came with the little combo pack. The charger sucks - big time. I went as far as to order another one and it’s just as bad. I know the manufactures and some recommend not using other manufactures chargers, but I’ve had it with these chargers. I would toss them all out and start over, but I bought a bunch of these little “bumble bees” as I call them with the yellow markings (Tenergy LiFePO4 750mAh RCR 123A ) and would much rather just invest in a new charger. I was thinking that maybe the Ultrafire 3.6 volt or 3 volt RCR123 Lithium Battery Charger might work better. Suggestions?

When it comes to stacked batteries and HV these 3V LiFePO4's are my favorites. They are being pushed past their their max discharge rating so they don't last (charge cycles) as long as Tenergy claims.

But a pair of these, with a Joye 510 will in fact have you vaping at about 5V (not 6) which is about as high as I would want to. A true 6V is quite harsh/hot and plays hell on standard atties.

UltraFire has a new universal charger, the WF-188, that may be a good alternative. Have to wait for some reviews.

  8. Well I got my batteries and the cr123 at 6v lasts about 6-8 hours. The 18650's last almost 3 days(3000 mah).
