Cartomizer life???

I was wanting to know how long an average an atomizer in a cartomizer will last. Would it be cheaper to buy cartomizers instead of a regular atomizer?

    Thanks everyone.

Honestly this is very subjective and varies from person to person. Just like an atty, a carto lasts longer if it stays wet. I have heard of cartos lasting 4 or 5 weeks, but the flavor tends to suffer the longer you push it. You can boil them out and extentd the life a little bit, but that only helps the batting that holds the juice. I would say pick up some 510 cartos and vapornine turbo cartos and see how they compare. There is nothing like first had experience. I really like cartos for on the go and dripping at home. You will find your happy spot. The upside is that cartos are cheap. For the price of a couple of attys you can have a selection of cartos to try out. I think that you will be happily surprised.

FYI, I am not positive about the screw driver, but it is probably 901 only, so you will need an adapter for the KR808 turbo cartos. You will definitely need an adapter for the SB. If that is the case, I would just start out with 510 cartos and go from there.

I have an adapter. Thank you. I also have a Silver Bullet that is 510 native. I am looging to switch to all 510's since my girl friend has the eGo and I have the SB so it would make more sence to keep everything the same.

I guess I could pick up a few carto's and see how they last. I direct drip most of the time but the thought of just filling two carto's for the day while I am out is nice.

    THank you J

I totally agree about it being subjective and varying from person to person.

Me personally I typically get about 15 ML of juice through one before I toss it.

Much more than that and the flavor gets funky and it irritates my throat more.

I might get more life outta it if I cleaned them but, I just stick to one flavor throughout the life of the carto.

Yea, stick to 1 flavor to a carto. They do not transition well.

agreed. this is very subjective. and there are so many variables. most cartos last me anywhere from 6-24 hrs. then there's that blue moon carto that'll last weeks or more.

but i can't get a decent vape out of an atomizer, so i'm left with few options. looking at the AFS.

The GGTS with AVS is a freaking fog machine. My Girlfriend bought one and that thing ROCKS! The sweet spot setup seems to be 6V with the turbo cartos from Vapornine.com. I am holding out for the Precious L V2, but alas, the waiting continues.

Well it totally depends on you. As carefully you will have it, use it it's life will be so long. Now decision is up to you.

My results have varied depending on juice. Clear, thin juices (like bauway marl) I was able to put about 30 ml thru one cartomizer before tossing, while thicker, syrupy juice, like red oak, or wowvapor, tend to kill a cartomizer within about 5 ml, sometimes 10. 808 cartomizers tend to last longer and clean easier, 510 cartomizers tend to burn easier.

  10. On the other hand, if you keep your cartos clean they can last very long. This video shows a easy way to clean both cartos and attys.

I use one flavor, keep them wet and they last a long time for me.

  12. Some that stuff changes with the Ce2 carto's.

I can use one till it's empty and load with a different flavor without problems.

I am not sure of the volume I am using but I can get a easy 3 to five days off of one. I have also had some success both with putting them in a glass with denture cleaner then rinsing. And just letting them sit dry then dryburn and refill. But like everyone said YMMV it is subjective. most of the dudes I work with who are using them are getting several day's out of one carto minimum. For me almost always the flavor goes south before the carto fails.

I love those CE2's .. we got them on Feb 2 from MV, I have been using the same two XL's since then, my wife has her regular sized ones. Three weeks so far and not a failure yet. They are TOO reliable, might be a while before we need to re-order.

I clean them every 3-4 days (disassemble, soak in hot water about 15 min, rinse, air dry overnight)..to clean the soot from the heater coil, I put a couple of drops of brandy, let soak a little, then dry burn em til I see a red coil glowing.

They are a bugger to reassemble, the metal tube inside has a tendency to dislodge, find putting the silicone spacer in position first helps. Then hold your mouth just right :)

gald to see that the ce2's are working for you. Do you ever get a burnt taste when you are vaping on them or have a wicking issue

wicking: yes, pretty much solved by loosening up the silicone seal a little. It will go a little dry if I continually bogart it, helps to tip it upside down every so often.

burnt taste: some liquids work better than others. My thinner ones (PG) work better than the syrupy ones (VG), think its a matter of wicking. With 510 batteries: never. With 3.7 mods, lots of vape, sometimes a little burnt taste. Prob from soot that builds up on element. A couple of drops of napoleon brandy on the element bruns off the soot pretty well

Havent tried 5v yet, prob more burnt probs at 5v

I think it would be pretty cool if you made a detailed video of this
