Hey guys this may be a silly question but will a brass negative spring on a mod give less voltage drop ( i heard brass is better conductivity) or wont it work any better .comse its ground not power?? I dont know much about electrics etc hehe
    Thanks

    Brass itself doesn't "spring"

Oh so a brass spring doesnt exist??? I wasnt sure ay lol. im trying to get less voltage drop out of my orion. With a freshly charged battery its only putting out 3v under load or is that acceptable??

Maybe a brass coated spring will help, but I can't help with an orion :(

Silver coating is what you want, but if you are going for less voltage drop and a hotspring is not your concern, then a thicker heavier spring will give better contact and carry more current under load. The thicker the spring material the less you have to be concerned with how conductive it is, think about the different .comges of kanthal and their relative resistances as the thickness increases.another alternative is an extendable solid spacer.

    Got some coax laying around?

Just cut a small chunk of the copper sheathing, fluff it a bit and drop it inside your spring. If you want to get fancy you can also open the top of the tube and roll an edge over the first loop of the spring.

It doesn't need to be fancy or perfect even.

    Easy and cheap to try.
