Best box fit for a VV 18650 mod?

Discussion in 'Vape Mod Talk' started by RAWRrr.itsCASEY.♥, Apr 7, 2015.

  1. Anyone got a suggestion for a perfect box fit to use 2 18650 batts to make a VV mod?

Really depends on what all you want in the box and how good you are at stuff a ton of "stuff" in a half ton bag. This is what you can do with a 4 x 2 x 1 box Blue Devil

You really have to sit down and look at how you want to make things go in and set it up way before you start cutting and drilling and stuffing. However, in that box, as small as it is you have to set the battery carriages sideways or you can always use a clip or just battery contacts. All just depends on how you want it to look and how long you want it to last.

Thank for the diameter James I ordered some parts to make it. So will keep posted fail or win on how it turns out. I have done 5v boxes before but never a VV. I do not think it will be tricky as I am thinking but i am using larger batteries that take up more space. And will finally get to put my new multimeter to use on making a mod other than checking my batteries lol.

  4. ill have a video up tonight, used an altoids box and got 2 18650's in it and a vv kit from madvapes, finished this months ago but just finally got a video up at you tube and will post it here as well

Hey Moto, that is an awesome mod your made. Seems like you really mapped it all out pretty well. I think I am going to try and attempt a project box i found at Radio Shack. My local radio shack fails since they do not carry battery connectors and other stuff I need, so i will be hitting up Madvapes for some parts and see what I come up with. Great video though, especially on installing the VV Regulator where it does not have to be on its side by just bending the knob a bit.

They are nice, not quite as sturdy as a project box, but as I said they feel good in your hand.

Do note there is a USB cut-out in the top you'll have to deal with (cover/epoxy over?).
