attempt at Dulce de Leche

just reading this is made with condensed milk slowly reduced and caramalised, I thought I'de try this--

FW Sweet Cream 70%
FA Original Caramel 30%
Might be way off the track though-anyone else tried ?

Just added 4 drops of TPA English Toffee to the 5ml of concentrate I have-will try this with next batch of Grants I make up, just to see if it makes any difference to the Caramel

 

Maybe not, but I reckon it'd still taste pretty good..

 

Dulce is cheap why are you cloning it...

 

It does sound good yet I have never found a Caramel that tastes true.

 

Just thought I'de try it while waiting for Tom @JF to get some in (at least I think he is ordering some) as I'm local to him--btw this FW Sweet Cream is strong smelling stuff, only opened the bottle to mix and the aroma stayed around for at least 10 min.

 

I have 5 different concentrates, and none of them are right. The search continues...lol

 

I agree with you about the Sweet Cream Saxien..I mixed some with some Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and a drop or 2 of Ethyl Maltol yesterday..
No idea what it will be like...Smells great though..
Have some Dulce de Leche coming ...

Are you using the Flavorwest stuff?, do you notice that these seem to give off a stronger natural aroma as agin the FA/TPA?, each one Iv'e opened and mixed so far seems to be, got 7 single flavour mixes on the go + my attempt at Grant's v2 with the capella VC+my DdL concoction

 

I have some Pre-mixed Tribecca that actually tastes like Caramel to me....well at least more caramelish than any caramel I've tried.

Would be interested to hear your take on the Flavor West line.
