On a serious note, I'm not sure how they're going to design replaceable coil heads for these attys. The ejuice flow holes are going have to be re-designed, so Ill be looking forward to how this all goes, but Im pretty sure there's going to be a lot of adjustments for leaking and whatnot in the first reviews.

Air flow may also need to be re-considered, possibly the design of a hollow cylinder version of this chip.

As always.. Ill wait for pbusardo's take on it.

Vaping prediction by Fatman #3 in 2009 its only taken em 7 years to steal my concept ( the glazed heating plate coil )

For the record next prediction (also floated circa 2009) is direct juice atomisation and injection ... like EFI in your car which then sprays a pre atomised dose of e-liquid onto the heating plate eliminating the need for wick altogether ... this will then be followed by multiple EFI which will then allow up to 4 configurable sprays at once so you can vary the PG,VG,Flavour concentrate, and nic levels on the fly ... probably by bluetooth .... wait n see folks wait n see

 

This will be great until "someone" from a big undisclosed vape company conducts some kind of "science" and then says that it makes your **** drop off or releases "anti freeze combined with asbestos and diacetyl shards and some other deadly chemical that they found on google" or something and once again the sky will fall as peoples batteries randomly vent and their 510 springs collapse because their atomizer rebooted.

Call me synical but you just know it's going to happen.

Either that or they will only be available from some obscure web site with a total of two in stock - for the whole world - fastech will clone them and see my first comment about what will happen - LOL

Very interesting but a lot more information is needed. It looks like a pretty power hungry device for something that is supposed to be efficient. No mention of it but I don't see how it will work for temp control unless you use a mod with adjustable TCR.

 

After become an expert coil builder, now they replace coils with a solid heating element that lasts forever.

Totally agree. There seems to be a whole lot of hype being pushed and stuff all else. Just a bunch of claims and a cool idea. I hope it's awesome and revolutionary but looking at vapour produced in the videos at .5 ohms/75w it hardly screams efficient to me.

I'll be skeptically waiting for decent reviews before committing anything close to $120

Sensible next step for this would then be including a thermocouple built into the plate to read the exact temp ... no more guessing with resistance of variable wires and algorithms etc of course would need consultation with mod makers to settle on a std algorithm and/or reading chip

 

not to mention more connections between atomiser and mod, another standard one would hope, but we would more likely end up with a multitude of proprietary connections...............

 

Best part is with a year long coil one could feasibly expect the tank to be pretty much a permanent fixture of the mod so makers could factor in the connection as a part of making the mod/reservoir itself ... Just have the plate as a plug-in
