It's raw. Yes.

 

Needs an acetone bath, be good if the modder was fully committed (needs to be) and got in the bath as well.

 

In my humble opinion, if you're going to 3D print a mod, use the power of the 3D print format to it's fullest potential. Make it organic, make it flow with the internal components. If I wanted a generic rectangular box mod, I'd just buy a Hammond box.

For example, a current work in progress. A dual 18350 mini mod with a Zmax v2 chip capable of pushing a 1.4 ohm atty to 25 watts.

No it hasn't had an acetone vapour bath yet, that will happen when the top cap gets friction welded on.

I think the green brick is made out of PLA, which cannot be smoothed other than through coarse mechanical means. It also has a relatively low glass transition temperature of about 60-65 degrees. It also is not UV stable, and can get brittle over time.

ABS on the other hand is the stuff Lego is made out of. It can be chemically smoothed, has a much higher glass transition temperature of 105 degrees and is UV stable. That is why it's my choice for making 3D vaping mods.

But each to their own I guess.
