    Hi everyone,
can anybody suggest me a mechanical mod that is known to have a low voltage drop (i know that its hard to compare and it depends on alot of variables) and is not expensive?
a link to a site that that sells the mod and that ships to Israel (not alot out there do) will be nice :)

It depends a bit on what you'd consider "not expensive," but mods I've been impressed with lately, as far as performance for the price, have included the Draw Tube Smart, the Kamry K100, the Tobeco Blade, and the SmokTech Natural, probably in that order.

Those are all sub-US$100 mods. If you're willing to go a little higher I'd throw in the Gus Telescopic (and other Gus models) and the Puresmoke Legacy, both of which I like better than anything on the first list.

i was also thinking about the Natural but the reviews on it are very divided, some say great for the money and some say a waste of money, it really looks nice but it doesnt have brass contacts so i was afraid it will have a bigger voltage drop althjough some reviews i've seen show that without moding it you can still get a small voltage drop..
do you know where i can get it that ships to Israel?

The Natural works quite well, but sanding the plating off the contacts helps, since there's brass under the chrome. And you're going to get a small voltage drop off any mechanical mod, even the most expensive of them.

As far as who ships to Israel, I really have no idea.

Anyone here have the MKB-TS mechanical mod? The price just dropped from $129 to $99. I would love to have the EA or another expensive one but Momma's got to eat!!!

Papa Hoyt did an extensive review on that mod. It seems to be very high quality and certainly the nicest mechanical to come out of China yet......

Someone on another forum tested some mods for voltage drop. Apparently the Smok Tele outperformed the GUS, 69 Mod, Roller, and EA.

seems like the biggest voltage drop will be from the battery the longer you use it.

I always say Legacy is the best deal in vaping. Now that there is a flat top cap, even better. If they make it so you can buy the device with the flat top instead of buying it separate, it will be the super duper best deal.

I have a Sigelei #8 and chi-chi and both are great mechanical mods and can be get for less than 40$.
The Sigelei is very well built and heavy mod and it looks much more than its actual price.

I have both a sigelei 20 and a money penny mod on their way to me. The money penny looks great due to the fact it's made out of copper and brass here in the usa

I have to agree I just received my Sigelei #8 a couple of days ago and really like it much more than I thought I would. The line where the tubes screw together is almost invisible.

The Chi-chi aka CCTS is also a nice inexpensive Chinese mod that I use frequently.

Yes it is. I have had mine for a month or 2 and use it outside when working dogs or running. Nice solid inexpensive (don't like the word cheap) mod.

I totally agree with you on this. It's hard enough to keep up with the new vape gear with just one name but when the same item is called several different things keeping up with it is overwhelming!!!

Well now that I have bought (and sold most of) almost all of the Sigelei mechanical mods that were released, I must say the Sigelei #8 is the best performer out of the box. The Sigelei #8 was my first of the 6 or 7 I have owned and required the least amount of modifications to it. It is definitely the one I would recommend as a first to others, and here is a very informative Sigelei article that may be of interest to new and experienced alike.

    +1 on Sigelei #8 !!!!

No modifications to do on it - maybe de-chrome and polish those brass ends :)

I have #19 which needs a bit of tinkering - O-ring to shorten the switch throw and remove the top silly magnet & put in an M3 cheese head bolt.

But it's not until you get something really good (expensive) that you realize you have wasted your money on all the cheapo stuff. My best mod is the Paps 2.1 - switch is feather light - fires from all angles. Top cap has adj centre pin and adj battery rattle on the same screw (turn in to adj pin and second smaller screw turns out to stop rattle).

Oh I also have the sig #20 which looks like a roller but drives like a bus!!!! (sorry English humour Rolls-Royce to Bus???)

Any mech mod will always have volt drop - can't not have, you can minimise it but that's all. It's not like a Provari which gives you those volts at the atty!!!

    Hope this helps
