Have You Ever Been Criticized For Vaping?

I have been criticized many times for vaping in public. People don't get that it's just vapour, so they tend to criticize me.

 

People who criticize others for doing things like vaping, smoking and so on, are the ones with the saddest lives, as they have never tried anything new and therefore condemns everyone who did, this kind of people are exactly the ones that falls into the line, they will never stand out with anything nor will be under the line of intelligence, they will simply be average forever and that's it. There's a clear point between criticizing someone because somehow it affects you, like for example smoking 1 meter away from you, and hating him only because is different and vapes 200 meters away from you.

 

I have never been criticized for vaping, but then again I don't do it in public places, unless it's a designated smoking area. You have to be aware that the public (or mostly the older generations) associates vaping with smoking, and will react negatively when exposed to it (non-smokers at least).

 

And I think that's something that's going to take a long time to get over, the association between vaping and smoking, and while that's still there, vaping will always be criticised and seen as just another form of smoking.

 

Yes, absolutely. Friends and family criticize this hobby of mine all the time. I'm just trying to enjoy life, man give me a break. Love every second of it

 

Actually I have never been critizised, people would rather ask me about what the fuck am I smoking and that kind of stuff, all I have been told until now has been that I look like an idiot smokingthat but whatever, I do not give a freak.

 

Most people don't know what vaping is so it's natural that it will draw attention. I think people are more curious then anything else.

 

Trust me when I say that there is a very good reason to associate these two habits, they are basically the same thing, only difference being that one burns tobacco to get nicotine in the lungs of a person and one vapes nicotine liquid, but technically they are practically the same, so I do not see people associating them as a problem. Also, it is just another form of smoking, so I don't see why you make a big deal over that, however, when people see others with smoke boxes, they tend to look at it like it's worse than smoke because it gets out so much and so dense vapors, one you can't get from cigarettes.

 

I make 'such a big deal about it' as you put it, because not all vaping liquid contains nicotine. There are a lot of people that have etheir managed to stop using the nicotine liquids or never used then in the first place, so why should that be classed the same as inhaling from a cigarette?

 

Most people have an issue of it not being "real cigarettes". They claim that you are too weak to use actual cigarettes, so you have to settle for an electronic alternative. Who can say otherwise? It is also annoying because it still has the vapor you have to spout around when other people are around. They claim it is annoying, but I say it is less annoying than real cigarette smoke that can also lead to various illnesses.

 

I've also got in the past that I should either carry on smoking, or just stop altogether, as vaping just means that I'm too scared to quit so that also makes me look weaker than what I am.

Sometimes it seems that no matter what you do, you aren't going to please everyone, so is there any point in even worrying about it?
