Is vаping sаfе with kids аrоund?

Hi! I just pоstеd in аnоthеr thrеаd аbоut my sеtup, but I hаvе а quеstiоn thаt dоеsn't sееm аpprоpriаtе in thаt thrеаd. Sо is it sаfе tо vаpе with kids аrоund?

I hаvе а juiсе thаt hаs а lоw niсоtinе соntеnt аnd I'm wоndеring if thе еxhаlеd vаpе is sаfе with kids аrоund thе hоusе. Mаinly, I'm wоrriеd thаt thе еxhаlеd vаpе still соntаins trасеs оf niсоtinе thаt my sоn my inhаlе?

Аlsо, dо thеsе vаpоrs stiсk tо furniturе suсh аs соuсhеs, bеddings, еtс?

 

Vapors are not as bad as smoke, at least in my opinion, but I wouldn't say that it is "safe" for children, at least not as long as a serious study is yet to be made about that. I would advise you to not smoke in company of your son, or in his room, in fact, there's a small chance, that the vapors from the liquid are more cancerous than the smoke. Also, if you vape/smoke next to your child, there's a big chance he will follow your habit, once he will grow up, no matter how much he hates the habit now, I've seen unlimited cases, teenagers who couldn't simply stand the smoke, and they would start smoking themselves after a few years.

 

We have to wait for further research. At this point, I think it's safe to say it isn't 100% safe, but probably better than cigarette smoke. The problem is there is still a burning element and smoke being released from vapes that can be an issue. Further research needs to be done what type of chemicals are involved and what kind of health effects do they have second hand. I would play it safe and try not to smoke around kids or other adults.

 

I personally think yes, as long as the flavor or whatever the vape contains is something not toxic/unhealthy for kids because if you just vape with pineapple flavors and stuff it's just the vape and that's it. You shouldn't give them to try it however if you don't feel like vaping around your kids don't do it.

 

There are a lot of people that say that you don't get secondhand "smoke" from vaping so it's safe to vape around anyone. The thing is that vaping hasn't been around for very long so we don't know what the secondary on other people are. I prefer not to risk it and treat it as if it was a cigarette.

 

I would definitely worry about your son inhaling nicotine. However, if it's not all the time I don't see how it can be too harmful.

 

Personally I don't see what benefit comes with vaping in front of your children - you seriously should consider finding a way to do it without their presence as there's obviously nothing good that will come out of it.

 

I wouldn't want to vape in front of your kids. Many of my friends have told me they started smoking/vaping because they want to become like their dad and be more mature. Don't give them the idea until they are old enough.

 

I think it really depends on your set-up my brother smokes a box mod and has to go outside because it causes so much vape smoke in the air you can't even see. But, if you smokes regular pen vape... I don't see the issue. It let's off such a small amount of vape smoke it shouldn't matter.

 

You're right, however, children tend to follow that model unconsciously, for example, I really hated the smoke, the fact that my mother smoked and even my mother for smoking, back in the days when I was a kid, I remember how I'd always tell everyone how I'll never ever smoke. Still, I felt onto that trap, I follow unconsciously the pattern of a parent smoking. Just try and do an experiment with an infant, go do something like staring at a thing, or walking in circles without telling him anything, you'll see how he'll start to follow your model without even rationalizing, it's the way human brain reacts at that age.

You guys know how people are with vapeing, and you know how people are ESPECIALLY when it comes to their children.
I think they wouldn't be interested in hearing how it wouldn't cause any issues. I think they would be upset at you regardless.

 

Yeah, like everybody has been saying ITT the research just hasn't been done on the effects/long term effects of "second hand vaping". I wouldn't do it around your kid just for this reason. There is also the fact that children are really impressionable when it comes to a parental figure. So him seeing you smoke will definitely have some effect on him in the future.

 

It might be proven now but there was a time even doctors used to recommend smoking. We are designed to vape, so why influence kids in a negative way.

 

I know for sure if I saw a vape pen, i would want to try it. Vapes just look cool, especially with some of the clouds you can blow with them. That is the troubling thing about them. That said, it's certainly better than cigarettes.
