Do people care about health mostly when vaping?

Health is the reason I started vaping, at least. I was able to ween myself off of cigarettes. So for me, vaping has been a health benefit overall.

 

Yes, I think that most people switch to vaping due to the health benefits. I have also experienced a lot of health benefits since I started vaping. Vaping just changed my life. So, I think that people care about their health and they are aware of the benefits.

 

The health benefits I would have thought is the main reason, but after a while, you also notice a difference with money aswell.

While it can be quite expensive to start vaping at the beginning, once you've not your kit, after that you'll soon start saving money, so that's a added bonus.

 

May be health for yourself or for loved ones, but it usually is health. Vaping does taste better than most cigarettes though, and a little carton of vape juice lasts a lot longer and is a lot cheaper than buying loads of cigarettes.

 

I switched to vaping, not only just for the cost efficiency, but also for my health. I had recently been diagnosed with cancer and I realized that if I didn't stop soon, it could only get worse.

 

People think switching to vaping is safe. Because it is a healthier alternative to cigarettes. ALthough we don't know the long term effects of vaping. Or the danger it has to our bodies. This is because vaping hasn't been around long. Be careful!

 

I do not think about that as being the main reason, probably for the biggest part of population who is currently switching, the reason is money. With the current price per cigarette pack, I see every single person on earth switching from smoking to vaping as long as it's cheaper and also a lot healthier. However, there are a certain percent of people who are switching hoping that would be the first step for them in order to quit once and for all.

 

In my experience, most of the vapers I run into or know personally are using it as an alternative to cigarettes. Although it doesn't seem like the number one reason because a lot of the people I know that vape also still smoke cigarettes from time to time. There is also the cost benefit with a pack of cigarettes costing a leg and an arm these days.

 

I think yes, they mostly care about the fact they will not get the same damage they usually get by normal cigarettes, it is actually good to know that people prefer to smoke something way more healthy than normal cigarettes even when they should just not smoke anything.

 

Vaping as certainly become more and more popular with people in recent years due to the fact it's seen as the healthiest alternative to smoking, even though like we've mentioned a few times in the forum now, that's still not been proven to be the case 100% yet.

Until it is proven beyond doubt that it is better for you than smoking, I'd probably still have an air of caution before I start to proclaim I'm a lot healthier now than when I used to smoke. I might feel it, but we don't know if vaping is going to have any other side effects.

 

As somebody who smoked quite a lot before, vaping makes me feel much better. Smoking had actually started to make me feel sort of ill, and I felt the effects. But vaping lets me feel the surge without the ill effects.

I guess even vaping has some effect on health, but not as much as cigarettes!

 

You also need to consider teenagers when starting this debate as well. More teenagers nowadays are starting to vape instead of starting to smoke. One of the reasons for this may be for their own health as well as their friends, or it could be that vaping just looks a lot cooler to them . Health is probably on most peoples minds, though, as well as the never ending flavours that vaping offers instead of the plain old tobacco flavour.

 

Exactly! I stated smoking quite early and I know a lot of others do so too. If these people decide to avoid smoking, vaping can turn out to be a much better alternative.

 

Saving money was the main aim for me being a student and not having cash on my hands. The health benefits was just an extra thing to be happy about....

 

$$$ was the number one reason I switched.
Number 2 was the social stigma around smoking.
Health was number three, pretty much the last reason but still a good reason.

 

Whatever the reasons are I think that you're right when you say that people these days look at vaping as more acceptable than smoking, but if research proves otherwise in the future that might again switch, as us vapers will again be looked upon as outcasts of society like we used to be when we smoked.

 

I think they are all valid reasons, just one would be enough but all three are good. It's difficult not to side step the financial gain it does have a very big influence if vaping was more expensive it would have the projection that it does.

 

As you say, they're all good enough reasons to stop smoking and start vaping, in their own right and in this day and age it's hard to see why people do still smoke.

I guess people get used to certain things though and they don't like change, even if the reasons make more sense.
