Friends that vape?

Do you have friends that vape, or did you just start vaping on your own? I had a lot of friends that were vaping long before me, so when I made my shift, it was pretty easy.


I know a lot of people seem to smoke and know friends that smoke too, so I've kinda gotta wonder how that goes too. Anybody go from smoking around smokers to vaping around smokers? Lots of weird scenarios with robot cigarettes vs paper cigarettes

 

Friends got me started on smoking cigs, then those same friends turned me onto vaping.
I bet you will find that's a very common thing when it comes to vaping and smoking and such.

 

I have a few friends that vape, and they are the ones that recommended it to me as they knew I was a smoker as they were, and it had helped them to quit.

At the time I wasn't all that interested in quitting myself, but they bought me a starter kit for Christmas and so thought I'd give it a go. That's probably how most people start vaping to be honest, and people wouldn't try it without being talked into it first I dint think, but that's just like a lot of things.

 

I've recently met a guy I became good friends with. He uses the same vaporizer as me (not my one, of course). He also tries to quit anything related to nicotine. So, I'm kind of glad that I'm not on my own.

As far as my long term friends are concerned, they are not as open-minded as I wish they could have been. Only one of them actually took the whole idea seriously. Other... well, they are still kind of slaves to their cigarettes. That sucks. However, I don't really care anymore. I've done my best to convince and convert them.

 

Yes. I used to stay in the dorms and many of my friends vaped, mainly for flavour and mistaking it for another product called hookah or shisha, to some it may be a water pipe. I only realised it was vaping when I started researching it, I used to think it was a portable water pipe.

 

I think stuff like smoking or vaping becomes a social thing. Most of my friends smoke hookah and was a social thing for us, but soon it became a regular thing. I was always aware of vaping but never gave it any thought until I found out one of my coworkers vaped

After that, I picked up a vape immediately and joined the vaping community. My hookah habits changed up a lot and now I very rarely smoke it.

 

My best friend also vapes, though she's a lot more into it than I am. We transitioned about the same time, so I don't really remember if it was a mutual thing or if one of us actually started before the other.

We vape around our friends who still smoke, and we don't have any problems with it. Everyone respects everyone else.

 

I think if in your friend group a lot of them are using vape it is easier to put cigarette down and also start to vape.
On the other hand if you have only smoking friends it is a little bit harder to maintain the vaping lifestyle, they can give you hard time and also the temptation of cigarette is always there.

 

I have a lot of friend that vape. Many of my co-workers vape as well so its like everywhere I go I constantly hear discussions about which juices are better and more about their specifications to their machines. I was invited to one of their parties the other weekend and lets just say it was a steam party, lol.

 

Hmmm... I don't have many friends who vape. Almost all of them still smoke cigarettes. I know of only one friend who vapes since I converted her as well. Then I know of my husband's friend who vapes. But that's about it, then all of my friends either smoke cigarettes or not smoke at all. In all honesty, vaping isn't that known yet from where I am. I only see a few people vaping in public as well. In fact, it's not always that I see them when we go out. As compared to smokers, since it's almost always that I see a smoker smoking in a parking lot.

 

Here in the UK, people smoking cigarettes are still the majority and in a group of people in a smoking shelters you'll get 3 people who vape, compared to probably 10 that are smoking cigarettes.

Vaping is becoming more and more popular though because only a few months ago that ratio would have been a lot smaller than that, so it's definitely moving in the right direction.

 

I am the only one, I have tried to make them switch but till now they have come up with all sorts of excuses. I won't stop though, I just hope they come round soon.

 

I usually vape alone, but I've recently been able to convince a smoker friend to convert. We don't vape together, as I don't see him very often, but I'm not against the idea.

 

When I met my actual best friend, he owned a vaper, and everybody knew him as the "e-cig guy". I was always asking him to lend me his cigarette and thus he gave me one for my birthday. As you have probably realized, he is the one who got me into vaping, and I used to smoke with him, because back then there weren't many people who owned vapers. We felt like we were some kind of rich guys, but we were just saving some money.

 

I have friends who smoke before, then they started shifting to vaping. I got curious as to what it was and why they shifted. Then I researched about it. I started going to malls looking at the different vaping devices and their prices. Finally, I bought one for myself. The transition was pretty smooth as a lot of my friends have already shifted to vaping before I do.

 

I was a smoker. I was not aware of vaping devices. Racki, one of my friend recommend me the e-cigs. So, my friends are the only ones who forced me to try vaping devices for the first time. So, I have many friends who are vaping enthusiast.

 

I didn't have friends who vaped but a couple of members of my family did, and it was them that first got me to try it. They knew I wanted to stop smoking, so as a Christmas present they got me a kit, and I thought I'd give it a go.

4 months later, I'm still vaping and down to maybe one or two cigarettes a day, sometimes not even that because the craving as gone.

 

Nah, I was the one who got other people started on E cigarettes. Many people have thanked me for it, but I'd rather not see my own friends make dumb decisiions, so rather than them smoking I recommended vaping

 

I have a couple of friends that vape, but I didn't switch because of them. I think I met one after I switched and the other one I didn't know had also recently switched to an ecigarette. At first I couldn't hang out with my smoker friends and vape while they were smoking - it made me crave cigarettes way too much! Now it's no big deal but I hate the smell of cigs now so I don't hang around the smoking spots much.

 

Friends that vape are what converted me to start as well. I do find it strange now when I vape next to someone who smokes. I can smell the difference since I have quit smoking and realize that it really stinks lol. I heard someone the other day get asked if they had a lighter and she replied with "no sorry, I've gone digital." and waves her vape at him.
