I recently went full DIY and have a stockpile of batteries, some good trusty mods, and 3 litres of VG/PG. Obviously ecig's will be taxed and regulated quite soon all over the world, I have no reason to believe they wont be since just about anything that a person can consume that isn't food or drink is regulated. That being said, I will try my best to buy things to avoid these taxes because I feel the taxes are unfair.

Good luck regulating VG, PG, "food" flavourings and batteries :)

I assume that there is already a sales tax anyways, I already pay a tax on all my purchases unless it is essentials like milk, bread and other consumables. I will not like it if they add additional sin tax, it would be unreasonable like Missvape says.

In my country vaping devices are sold in stores and are taxed however I prefer ordering the expensive devices elsewhere since they could be even half the price.

Vape products should not be taxed. Cape products are mostly used for people getting off cigarettes. Vaping isn't good for you but cigarettes are a lot worse. If vaping is taxed, cigarettes should be taxed more also. If the government is trying to get people to stop smoking, it does not make much sense to tax something that will make people stop.

I think it should not be done. If they hit vaping with taxes, people are going to buy less of the product. I would buy less of the product if the prices went up because of taxes. I think taxes should stay of vaping products.

No atleast not yet because this is relatively new and the people are actually getting into it, if it gets hit with taxes it would decrease the attention of people towards these vapes and it would make the industry more expensive when you get to buy one and that would be really bad. To answer your question fully my answer is a total NO.

My answer to this is in two parts, simply because I have read and heard a lot about this issue.

The first part is this. The goverment make so much money from the cigarette companies, an insane amount of money, hence why they are taxed so much so they get their share of the profits, which in my opinion is wrong anyway! They make enough money from the tax from everything else, never mind making money from smoking too! Which means that the more people that switch to vaping means less money for the goverment, which then in turn means they want to make up for this by taxing vapers! Add all this together and it seems to me that they want people to carry on smoking so they get their cut of it!! My opinions only of course...

Secondly. The answer a simple no. Vaping is a smoking cessation device, it helps people to stop smoking, which the goverment says is very bad for you and causes cancer, but at the same time they want people to continue so they can carry on getting their tax. So its catch 22. You either keep smoking, slowly killing yourself with the million and one toxins that are in it, or vape, where they are planning on making much more expensive, so either way you cannot win!

There are petitions being signed online to try and combat this, but to be honest, although I do not agree with them being taxed, sadly I think it will happen sooner rather than later. From what I have read, it is going to be the end of buying liquid in bulk, but you are still allowed to buy cigarettes in bulk? Seems a little off to me!

Well, vaping devices are not that popular and that is why they are not taxed but if they become famous, they will be taxed for sure. In my opinion, they should not be taxed. If they will be taxed heavily, the user count will be reduced. No tax on vaping devices will motivate the people to use the devices and hence, people's health will improve. So, I don't want taxes to be implemented on vaping devices.

I know that if you go to the doctors and ask for help to stop smoking, they can give you patches and gum, recommend meeting so why not recommend vaping?

The only reason I can think of is because if they did that, then the government would never be able to increase the tax on them because then it would be like taxing peoples medication, and as of yet, they've not decided to do that.

I don't really think so. To be honest I think we should get tax breaks, doing something to quit smoking saves the health care industry millions in the long run. But I don't think it should be taxed as tobacco, that's for sure. It's not tobacco and there's no proof that nicotine is what's killing people in cigarettes.

I don't think they should be taxed, as they are a healthier way for smokers to quit smoking. Of course they will be taxed though, as the government is always looking for ways to make profit.

Profit and making money from the people, is always what the government try and do, and so I can't see that changing anytime soon, no matter if research is done and it becomes a proven fact it's healthier for us.
