How do you feel without the cigarettes?

    How would you say your general quality of life and health has changed since you stopped smoking?

    For me, there were so, so many different ways that my life changed. My lungs, my teeth, my mood...I feel like I could keep going on for so long that it's hard for me to imagine just how much I put my body through before I put the sticks down. You?

    I totally agree with you. After being a smoker for more then 14 years, when I first started vaping, the first thing that came back was my sense of smell. I could smell food from the kitchen with me sitting in the living room vaping, and I thought it was very weird, seeing as how I never experienced that while smoking.

    I just started vaping a short time ago and haven't stopped smoking completely, but I have noticed some changes. I don't get as moody if I don't smoke now. I have noticed that I do breath better now and feel in general better.

    You get this thirsty feeling along with emotional and stress that just attacks my brain. Whenever you are thirsty for nicotine, it is not a pleasant feeling.

    I totally agree, I also feel very different since then, it's like some weight has been lifted of my lungs and right now I can breath easier, also my breath doesn't smell as bad anymore. My gym performance also increased and I'm now able to push more reps without feeling that my blood vessels are going to explode at any point.

    The main difference I've noticed is that I breathe so much better now. It's a huge difference. That and most people who don't smoke no longer walk away after only a few moments because of the smell of nicotine on me.

    Man, I totally forgot about how easy it is to work out now after the cigs too! It is a clear as day difference, it's like walking into paradise compared to where it was. Can't believe I did that to myself

    I feel the same way, I can't see how I did that do myself while being conscious about the consequences. After quitting cigarettes, I can finally do cardio for more than 5 minutes, back when I was smoking I could only do strength training because it was only high intensity with low volume, I would've done 3-5 reps now, and after another 5 minutes the next series. If I'd try to go for more than that, my veins felt like were gonna explode.

    Quite a few things have changed for me since I started vaping and quit smoking. I breathe so much better! I was really getting short of breath a lot, and after walking just a short distance too. I haven't had even a hint of an upper respiratory infection since I quit smoking - and I was having them more and more often. After smoking for 30 years, lung issues begin to get really, really frightening.

    Food tastes better, and smells better. In fact, my sense of smell has gotten so intense that I can tell if people that I pass by in stores are smokers, which makes me realize that I smelled that awful too.

    BIG difference.

    When I was a smoker, I experienced many health problems like brain fog, laziness, low energy, mood down throughout the day, etc. I encountered a lot of health benefits after I stopped smoking. Vaping was a boon for me. All the negative things disappeared. I have no breathing problem at all and my breath doesn't smell bad.

    I feel you. The ability to run places just because I want to is probably the most beneficial side effect of vaping.

    I remember specifically needing to jog about half a mile after a long week of cigarettes and cigars and realizing just how much damage I was doing my body when my lungs felt like death itself. I'm so glad I quit.

    Jogging everyday while smoking cigars/cigarettes helps to protect your overall health, and make your lungs healthier, but doing it once a week it makes yourself feeling like dying, you just don't want to run. I think that every smoker should be put into that position at least twice a month, maybe that way they'll realize what they're constantly doing to their body and stop or at least switch for the better alternative which would be vaping.

    Yeah, absolutely. Most of my buddies that vape still go to the gym regularly, and that was one of the things I missed most when I picked up the habit. I think the real problem is that its hard to tell your lungs have been disabled until its too late and the nicotine has set in and taken hold of you, forcing you to keep it up and put that wall between you and exercise

    My health definitely feels much better. I feel more in shape and I don't get sick as often. I'm not coughing all the time and my clothes and house don't reek of cigarettes anymore. Life is so much better without cigarettes.

    Generally, I feel healthier! I can breathe easily now, and the smoker's cough is gone as well. I can run and jog for quite a long mile as well. It's easier to do cardio and even HIIT workouts are great for me. My teeth are whiter now and my gums are pinker. My hair is shinier and my skin is more rosy-looking, lol! I feel like a completely different person as compared to when I was smoking.

    Another great thing is that I don't smell like smoke anymore. My hair smells fresh all day instead of the smoke that comes from the cigarettes. My clothes smell good as well, like they are fresh from the washing machine. Lol. It feels nice to leave the house smelling fresh and be back home smelling great as well.

    Wow, I totally forgot about the smell. It is like night and day not smelling like the cigarettes anymore. There is absolutely no comparison to finding an old shirt that smells like cigarettes and suddenly remembering what your life used to be like.

    I stopped smoking for a month once and I feel pretty similar to what I did back then. Maybe the biggest difference is that I don't have as much energy as I did back then but in terms of taste and smell it's very similar.

    I started vaping back when they first became available, when only the cigarette-styled ones were out. So about 5 years or so now. I honestly feel like I have never smoked and I've been a smoker and vaper for over 20 years now. I can ride my bike, run and do all sorts of physical activities without any sort of effects from my previous use of traditional cigarettes. When I first started biking for fitness, I smoked and it was horrible. Now that I don't smoke, I can easily ride over 60 miles a day. I've even rode 110 miles in one day and my lungs never once bothered me :)

    I feel pretty good now that my house and clothes don't smell like a bar that hasn't been cleaned for 10 years. I swear everything about me and near me smelled like smoke.

    That is one of the greatest perks of vaping, I never did like the smell of tobacco on my clothes. I never smoked inside the house but I still stank of burnt tobacco.
