I quit smoking and switched to vaping over two years ago and I've been doing so ever since. Do you think I should quit vaping? I'd love to hear experience when it comes to this... I enjoy nicotine as a stress relief but I wonder if after a few months I wouldn't even crave it anymore.

Is anybody else here planning on quitting? How long have you guys been vaping for?

    Thanks!

To be honest, it's all up to you. I know that choosing vaping is the lesser of two evils and that's great! But if you have the willingness and motivation to quit vaping, why not? After all, it's still your choice in the end. You know what's best for you and your health. And if you can quit vaping, just like smoking, I will congratulate you on that.:)

As for me, I haven't really thought of quitting vaping. I think I've been vaping for quite a few months now and I'm enjoying it. I still cannot see myself without it, that's for sure. However, if I do decide to quit, I think it's generally for the best. No money spent on vapes and juices, no additional device to bring with me, no money spent on charging my vape batteries...

But yeah, right now, I don't think it's going to happen yet. Maybe in the future, we'll never know...

Just as with everything, it's your decision. You should analyze why you feel this way and consider your actions from there.

The reason I started vaping was to stop smoking, I plan on reducing my nicotine intake until I get to the point where i only vape juices without nicotine. I don't know how long it will take but that is my objective.

My advice, for what it's worth, would be to not stop vaping until you are sure that letting go of the vape will not cause you to start smoking again. What I'd recommend is cutting back on the nicotine in your ejuice until it's down to zero. Once you've managed to do that for a while, then re-evaluate if you are ready to stop vaping.

A good vape isn't really that bad for you anyways, I bet there are a million lifestyle choices that we all do each and every day that are not great for us.
I would probably stop drinking coke or eating bacon before I stopped vaping.
But its like everyone here says, it's up to you.

That's the thing, vaping is not an addiction and even if it's not healthy, I am guessing it's healthier than a hamburger we eat at mcdonalds, so I would not worry to much about it.

It's up to you. I have a friend who uses 0 nicotine but he is still vaping. I would suggest for you to gradually lower the nicotine levels. Make sure as well that when you quit vaping, you wouldn't go back to smoking.

It's up to you whether you want to avoid nicotine cravings more than you enjoy vaping. The only way to reduce cravings is to quit. Personally I'd say if you are a very infrequent user, you'd be better off with the occasional stress relief, but I'd certainly taper down, so that you have more wiggle room to increase during particularly stressful periods.

It is really up to you. I you think the vaping would bring addictions to smoking back then your best bet is to stop. If you enjoy vaping a lot and still do, then you should continue savoring the moment.

I see vaping as a middle step between smoking cigarettes and quitting, but I surely know a lot of people that has stopped in that middle step. Why? Is vaping addictive or simple because it's not very harmful?

As with most people I started vaping in order to stop smoking, and while I haven't stopped completely yet, it's definitely helped me to cut down. As for stopping vaping then I've not thought that far ahead personally but I wouldn't want to think that in the future, after all this I quit vaping but then end up back in the cigarettes again!

Vaping is a middle step to quit smoking, but to most people, it ends up becoming a hobby/habit. It's nowhere near as harmful as cigarettes, so it's an excusable habit in our minds. Even though it's better, it doesn't mean it's the best; and it should be the norm either. Im guilty of keeping up vaping just for the experience, but there's just something about seeing vapor roll out of your mouth in front of you...

If you like vaping as you said it, you should change the liquid you are using for something lighter with less nicotine in it. It is a habit, a hobby and it can be. But if you see it as a unnecessary thing in your life of course it's your choice to stop vaping.

Yep, I totally agree with this. I like the fine distinction you make between hobby and habit, I mean, surely it's more or less addicting, but I believe it can be seen as a hobby too.

If you feel like quitting then you should quit. It's actually one of the few places where "to quit" means "to win" ;)

That's another positive thing about vaping, we can dose our nicotine levels so basically we can control our addiction. Can it get any better than that?

In my opinion it's all up to you. However, quitting vaping will greatly increase your health even more because vaping has side effects as well.

As others have said, it simply all up to you, but as a friendly advice, quit and never vape/smoke again. Do not fall into the trap to believe than since you vape nicotine and not smoke it, you're safe and it is a healthy habit, you can still get cancer over that and you can get even worse results than you get from smoking, especially if you give the vapors out on your nose, as that e-liquid contains glycol-something which seems to be very toxic and somehow interferes with your bronchial tubes.
