Hi Everyone

Hi everyone, I'm Steve from the UK. I'm 45 and was a moderate to heavy smoker for over 20 years. I've managed to kick the dirty habit of smoking tobacco over the last few months and am now almost exclusively a vaper. I'm particularly interested to learn more about making my own juices so that I can look towards gradually weaning myself off of nicotine by making my own concoctions. I'm currently using a diamond mist E-cig starter kit and my current favourite flavour is Blend&Bottle Blackcurrant & liquorice (12mg/ml nicotine). I just love the aftertaste and I love the fact that I've lost my smokers cough. Great to meet you all, I'm hoping to learn a lot here.

Ahhh congratulations on losing the smoker cough! I too have lost mine and I'm so glad. Also noticed that my nails and teeth are whitening again, so all wins in my book! This forum has tons of support and excellent feedback, so I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself. I love it! Congrats on quitting after 20 years!

 

Thanks for the positive response Acheno, its very much appreciated. I've always taken care to keep my hands and fingers free from tobacco stains (scrubbing with steel-wool until my skin is raw), but my teeth are another matter. As an American I'm sure you know the old saying about English peoples teeth, well in my case, it is unfortunately true, they're crooked, not particularly pretty, and after all those years of smoking, not to mention my love of coffee and all things containing caffeine, not quite as white as they used to be. After reading your comment, and liking it, I had a good look at my teeth upon waking up and brushing, and I was pleasantly surprised to notice that my teeth do appear to be a little bit more gleaming. They are still a long way from the gleaming white that I see so often in my transatlantic cousins, but they are certainly heading in the right direction. I also noticed that the slight furriness that has covered my tongue from the age of about 40 has completely disapppeared. Edgar Allen Poe once said 'A mirror is no friend of a middle-aged man', and as a 45 year old man I understand completely what he meant, but maybe the wonders of modern technology will enable me to enjoy at least a small amount of nicotine without the social stigma of yellow teeth and the surrounding hum of dirty smoke. I also notice you're a fan of blueberry juice, I'm personally loving liquorice and blackcurrant at the moment, but blueberry has to be one of my favourites in terms of flavour, are there any good blueberry flavours you could recommend to me ?

 

Hi Steve and welcome, I have just started vaping and I am slowly but gradually getting used to it. It certainly is different from regular smoking but it does satiate the nicotine bug so while I have had cigarettes since I have started vaping, I do look forward to reaching the point that my only source of nicotine is from my vaping. Fingers crossed.

 

Welcome to the forum, Man! This forum helps the cigar addicts like you to leave the cigarettes and switch to smoking. Vaping is definitely much better smoking and the benefits you are experiencing is just the starting and you will gain much more benefits. Just wait and watch how vaping will change your life.
