The 8100 is nice but so is the okr-t10, the question is how much do you want to spend? the 8100 build costs a bit more then an okr, as far as performance goes I dont see a difference in either one of them to say one or the other is better.

The okr and 8100 have the same wiring diagram only the chip and caps change other then that pot, resistor, layout are all the same.

If you dont have any mod building experience I would suggest starting with something cheap and working your way up the chain.

I don't know how many mods you've built but the Nivel may be your best choice, unless you are a crazy high 'extreme' vaper. It's a 3.5A 15W assembly.

It's now a mature design that's had a few minor revisions after been thoroughly tested in the field for a while now. Although a couple $ more than the DNA20 it's much simpler and quicker to pop into your mod.

No shopping for wires, the main wires are already soldered to assembly. Many folks have been having a hard time (read: breaking) with the DNA's separate display which is hanging off a very thin and fragile wire harness, so you have to mount the assembly then figure out how to also mount the display.

And if you've noticed often the display ends up on an angle. Much easier to mount the one-piece Nivel.

You will only need to add one fire button to finish it, which does everything very similar to the Provari. Again a major time saver and it allows for more flexibility in your box design, no more planning or worrying about where and how to mount 2 more buttons.

Almost anyone can be a modder with the Nivel assembly.

No offence, but first off the power requirements aren't all that intense. From the spec sheet.

    - Input Current 1.5 Amps (Min) 4.0 Amps (Typical) 7 Amps (Max)

As far as the "panny gcr's", the AW true 1600mAh, IMR18650, has a a Max Discharge Rating of 15C which works out to 24A, that's 240% higher.

I'm getting a pair of these Samsungs to play with.

    HID Battery Samsung 20A 18650 20R INR18650 20R 2000mAh 3 6V Li ion Rechargeable | eBay

These are NCA, Lithium Nickel Cobalt Aluminum Oxide chemistry. And have a Max Discharge Rating of 20A, double the Panasonics.

Ignoring the bottom 30A trace, the 2000mAh rating is right on the money falling just a bit at a full 20A continuous drain. Folks should keep in mind that Panasonic uses a 430mA (less than half an amp) load to get their 2250mAh rating.

Samsung cells are used in many high end, high drain cordless tools. It's a lucrative market in which Panasonic seems to have no presence.

Nice man, you will get cleaner as you go :)

That pcb is from madvapes? if so it is built with traces in it and you don't need to solder a trace on :)

    Nice man good work :)

You can toss a bigger resistor on it and it will dim some :) if it is a rounded top take a file and make it flat might help some also.

For the love of Websters...it's BOARD not bored. As in Circuit boards, etc.

Does a tree produce "bored" feet of lumber? No, it does not.

Yes, I know using a mobile can cause auto-correct issues, I assume that is not the case. Humans still get to learn vocabulary on their own, right?

You're a modder now, you can't say things like that mate. ;-)
