So, I've had an E-Go type battery and Kanger style tank for awhile. Without knowing too much about it, I can describe it as 'thinner than a highlighter, thicker than' type size battery/tank. Anyhow, I'm looking to upgrade, and probably just put away this entire kit.

Since I do enjoy vaping, and how it satisfies my oral fixation- I'd like to find something more powerful.. maybe with a larger battery. Size isn't a huge issue with me, as it usually stays in my car- but being able to fit in my pocket would be a plus.

Any links or descriptions would be really useful. Please feel free to reply if you need more info from me!

    Hi Healey,

I have a few suggestions that might be helpful if you are not interested in subohming:

The Innokin iTaste VV4 is slim enough to put in your pocket, but it is only 1000 mAh so it may not be any larger than your Ego-style battery. I believe this one allows you to charge while you vape. I considered getting this for my husband when he started vaping, but went with the next one since he was "borrowing" it from me and liked it.

The Innokin iTaste MVP 3.0 PRO might not fit into your pocket, but it is definitely larger than your Ego-style battery and the VV4. This was the battery that I upgraded from my Ego-style battery to. With really heavy vaping it lasted me a day and a half, but it lasted my husband (who does not chain vape) about three days before it needed to be charged. This one definitely allows you to charge while vaping.

The Eleaf iStick 30w has smaller dimensions that the MVP I mentioned above. I do not have any personal experience with this one, but some friends of mine seemed to like it. It has a larger battery than the VV4, but the battery is smaller than the MVP. There are two cool things about this battery: first, you can vape while you charge it. Second, if you are contemplating subohming in the future, you can go down to 0.4 ohms with it (if you get a subohm tank).

Since you haven't mentioned any bad experience with Kanger tanks, you could get an Aerotank or Mini Protank 3 to go with any of those setups. You can also get both if you sometimes need a bigger tank, but like the smaller tank when you are at work because you can use the same heads for both. I cannot in good conscience recommend the Aspire Nautilus since my experience with that tank was horrible, but some people rave about it.

The links I've provided point you to different pages on the My Freedom Smokes website. I did this because I buy most of my equipment from them because they are generally have the best prices; however, if you can find your gear cheaper elsewhere, go for it.

One last thing... Keeping your e-cig in the car is probably not a good idea as fluctuation in temperature could make the batteries a bit more volatile. If you don't have a case for it, the large Ego case should at least accommodate one of the batteries with some room for a small bottle of juice. I also found a really cool looking one with a handle.

Hope this helps. Holler if you need to know more.

Thanks for all the help! I just looked and I have that Mini Protank 3. Is that tank compatible with a lot of 'bigger' batteries than the E-Go? I'm honestly just looking for a bigger battery, maybe longer life with a harder/bigger hit.

Also, I appreciate you giving me the tip about keeping it in-case. I'm assuming if I put it under my seat in the case it'll suffer less temperature change? Thanks again!

It's no problem. :) Your Protank 3 should work well with any of the batteries I mentioned. I noticed a big difference when I upgraded to the MVP in flavor, vapor production, and battery life.

I don't mean to pry, but is there a reason why you need to leave your rig in the car? The reason I ask is because the case will not protect it from extreme temperatures. Here's an article about what can happen to batteries when they are left in a car for extended periods of time:

When you decide which rig you get, let me know.

Wow, thanks for the link! It's just kinda uncomfortable to carry, and easier to leave it until I'm back in the car. But I may end up stashing it somewhere at work after reading that- especially coming into summer!

If you have a lunch box, you might be able to put your gear in a case like the Ego case and put it in your lunch box. My husband has one of those medium-sized lunch box "coolers" and it works out well for him; however, he doesn't put his lunch box in the fridge. If you have a briefcase, then you can probably find a hard-shelled, unmarked case to put it in so that you can stick it in your briefcase. If anybody sees it, they'll likely assume that it holds a fancy pen set or something.

I suggested the big one in case you were worried about forgetting it at work. It's big enough to remember, it's masculine-looking, and it doesn't scream "I have an e-cigarette in here!"

If these options aren't feasible, I Googled "e-cig carrying cases" and came up with a bunch of images for you to browse.
