AC9 and ribbon wire

Hey fellas,

Heard somewhere that the AC9 was "designed with 28ga wire" in mind, is there any truth to this?

Just received some ribbon kanthal in the mail today and I'm super eager to try it out. But if there's no truth to abovementioned statement, I shan't waste any of the precious ribbon. Hahah

you can rebuild it with whatever you want. but you may or may not like what you get as compared to the recommended 28ga.
i guess its all up to preference.

 

I figured that but was strongly advised against it. That's why I wanted to find out if anyone here could make head or tail or this "myth". Lol

You can use whatever wire you like, I believe the creator said it was made with 28g in mind, but that could be that he just prefers 28g.
