Hi all, having issues with this atty after i've rebuilt it, seems fine before I put juice in as coil glows evenly, but when I fill it the top of the coil glows near the centre post.
If this be.comse the gap is too big?

Might try the washers as a fix?

    Cheers

Dirtos, could be a lot of things.
What mesh are you using. Might not be wicking? Is is glowing evenly when empty or building from top to bottom. Should glow pretty evenly when dry and not 'flow' red from top to bottom.
    Just some ideas

Try the washers mate, if the gap is too big between the wick and the centre post, it can .comse that.
If you can get a pic up, could be useful.

I get this problem and the washers fixed it.

The problem can occur between the top coil around the mesh and the centre post.

The washer will make this gap smaller the only thing I need to clarify that someone said they used a 6mm M3 washer... lol. There is no such thing. M3 stands for 3mm washer. If anything the TRUE diameters are: 3mm x 8mm x 1mm yet no one would complicate things so much. Jaycar sells these for about $3.00 for 25.

Perhaps it meant 6mm OD, 3mm ID ?

OD and ID are irrevlevant. it's just an M3 washer. Ask anywhere for them, they'll know what you're talking about. they all have the same ID and OD.

Just materials are different. You can get stainless steel to nylon plastic ones.

Well, I got an AGA-W coming from Vapeking, should arrive next week.
I read somewhere there's only 500 made, but that could be all talk :D

There's a video here, haven't had a chance to watch it yet.
I'm sure its a similar setup as the AGA-T

... and different OD's for the same size ID ... a lot depends on the manufacturer

Based on that review of the AGA-W that guy removed a rubber cap then claims thats where the coil goes into the tank. It's not I don't think. That rubber cap is designed to let air in but no liquid will come out. Hence why he complains there isnt much gap for the coils :p This is to help it wick as atm most users need to remove a the screw to help it wick however this can lead to the tank dumping juice if it falls over.

I think they want you to use the negative on the other side, If you want to run dual wick then you can remove the screw on the other side and install 2 wicks :p

As for 500 being made? I highly doubt it.....

I think the rubber bung, is so instead of using a screw to plug your fill hole, you can just plug it.

Well thats what I will do, plug it in when I take it with me somewhere and take it out when I need to vape it.

And yeah I also highly doubt only 500, infact I bet in the next week or so there maybe be an AGA-(insert letter of choice)

The only thing Im not liking is the tank, plastic threading.....

Yep just ask for M3 washers at bunnings, jarcar, mitre 10 or masters.

I actually think the AGA-T is a better design, the only thing I really like about the W is the non knurled bits on the tank.
    spring loaded center post? wtf.

Yeah its working perfectly even the AGA is working fine.

I was a bit worried about the AGA as it has such a large gap between the negative post and the wick .comsing that burnt taste but once juice is in the tank it doesnt look to be glowing red so it's ok! :D

Just got to make sure It doesnt fall over be.comse there seems to be no screw for the hole where you fill the tank.

Also one thing I have noticed is: I get far better wicking from a thin wick than I do a thick wick. Is this normal?

There are several theories about wicks & whether they should be thick, thin or something else entirely.
IMO the best wick is the one that is working how you want it to.

It's amazing as the Chinese obviously keep an eye on the forums, that they keep taking two steps backwards as they take one step forwards, still to much distance between wickhole and positive post, I stopped the video as soon as I saw the threaded tank (boo!), and non threaded (boo!) stainless steel center post (yay!). If the center positive pin is SS that's a yay also.
To me this is like building a Titanium engine with ceramic bore sleeves and then fitting chocolate pistons with jelly rings.
The AGA-t just needs a ss center post and all other issues with it are solvable.

Why the SS centre post? i would of thought brass centre post would of been much better?
