Hi all Stumbled across these Ni-Mh Battery's, they are 1.2v, 2500 mah. Do you think if I ran 3 of them in series I would be getting 3.6v with 7500mah? You would think they would last a couple of days? Any thoughts from you battery nuts would be appreciated. NiMh batteries can be ok in mods , as long as you ensure they have a large enough discharge capability ( most do ) drawbacks include lower energy to weight as compared to li-po ,li-ion. voltage of 1.2V percell thereby necessitating 3 cells to get close to vaping voltages , can be prone to media chrystalisation if used incorrectly (over discharge_ resulting in lesser capacity ... the semi mythical "memory effect" Eneloops require a dedicated charger too The main advantage they have are a very low self discharge rate when stored charged . For most e-cig applications you get better value for dollar using good li-ion cells
stick with Lithium, theres a reason everything big drain like tools/ecigs/torches is going that way, unless you really want an overweight, underpowered, huge, inefficient mod of course.. I doubt ecigs would even have started out if lithium batts where not developed first. a minimum useable mod would need something like 3 AAA's or so ..
If you want something small, a pair of 10440's or 14500's will give you bang for buck, a pair of 10440's is only about the same as an Ego though MAh wise

No No No D1g ... the meta foam is AWESOME !!! ( tho krit said there was a tiny funky taste for about 3 drags when he rolled it ) just make sure the metafoam is burnt well too , I think there is the tiniest bit of oil or something on it ..... the killing myself referred to me making a metafoam pad , sticking it in the nichrome coil of a USB cigarette lighter turning it on and vaping thru a 1 inch long steel cylinder .... ALL of which were on the spot and not cleaned nor probably suited to vaping LMFAO !!! but hey it was a real McGuyver moment !!!
